Bingo! A car, a nice big muscle car with a huge powerful engine. Beautful. Blast laid his hand on the hood of the car and closed his eyes. He could feel the thrum of the energy as it was diverted from the engine to him. Feel it flow into him as if it was blood in his veins, he gave a soft sigh, has he drained it for all it was worth. Owner shouldn't have left it just sitting by the side of the road anyways. Power taken from a car tasted (if you could apply the term) different than electric building power, it was more... hard to say really, more... Hardy prehaps, filling maybe? Hard to descirbe, the lanuanage had not been made with this sensory data in mind.

"This is Blast, I'm charging up, be just another minute."

The park was in sight, and he began to descend. It was then he remembered something.. He didn't have his dagger. His powers were lessened without it.

"I have to find my sword once I get there. If it's still in the area, i'll be able to sense it." He cursed himself for dropping it, even for her.

"Hold on for a second beautiful. This is Saibot, I'm enroute..ETA 90 seconds. Anyone seen my dagger?"

"I think one of your teammates grabbed it," she replied, looking at all the damage the battle had done to the park. Abaddon's path could be clearly seen, just follow the trail where even the dirt beneath his feet had crumbled and festered. "Set me down... and please forgive me for wanting to stay far away from this battle. He scares me."

He set her down carefuly, at the furhter part away from the battle. His mask opened, and he kissed her gently on the lips, before he broke away.

"You don't need to be forgiven. Stay safe, I'll be back as soon as I can...."

With that, he was back in the air, following the path of destruction and devestation. He saw Niner and Seven with Demise, he spotted Blast juicing up on the car. He didn't seen Blackheart, Legacies or Mark 25.

And he saw the collapsed building, with the hole in it. Lovely, would have to be there.

"Saibot to Blackheart and Legacies. I'm back...one of you have my dagger?"

He floated down, casually it seemed to the observer, but he was preparing his own defenses, his wits and senses sharp, and his ring charged. He used the ring as a sensor sweep, a glowing blue cone sweeping the ground, revealing the footprints and places hands grabbed bricks.

They lead up to the hole, and he smirked.

'Once more into the breach.....hope I make it out of this one alive.'

He wasn't waiting for a reply from Blackheart and Legacies, if Argent feared Abaddon so much, ad the reports were to be beleived, they would need all the backup they could get.

"Yeah," said Blackheart. "But we've hurt the fucker and I'm still ready to fight. If we let him get away, it won't be this easy again. I'm carrying around enough ghosts as it is. I don't need to add everyone Abaddon kills between now and when we get another shot at him."

Legacies smiled as he slipped down to the next floor, his tendrils slowly lowering him. "I'll agree to that. Our best bet will be to get him outside again." Legacies listened as Saibot came back on the communicator. "We've got back-up coming."

Legacies looked up the hole to see Saibot above him. He pulled the dagger out from under his suit and held it up in the air for a second before tossing it back up the hole for Saibot. He looked back at Blackheart as the tendrils above him began to release themselves. "I'll flush him out, you hit him hard." With that the silver face faded from view quickly as it dropped. Legacies landed on the ground and looked around. "Come to my parlor said the spider to the fly."

His left hand flashed out at the dagger was tossed to him, grabbed it by the handle, and spun it around before it slide down into the sheath at his side.

When he touched the dagger, he could feel the surge of extra energy it infused into him, the additional power he could call upon.

Oh yeah, he was complete again.

He touched down, the life support field glowing faintly about him, ready to come to full effect when he needed it. The cone had disappeared once he found Blackheart and Legacies, no longer needing it.

"Just point me in the direction" he stated flatly, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Be careful...." She was still amazed that in only an hour ago they'd been fighting on opposite sides. Maybe she was the one enchanted, not him. Either way ... she didn't want it to end.

There were plenty of shadows in the park, now that the sun was sinking further towards the horizon. Once again taking her dragonic shadow form, she sank into the shade of one of the remaining trees. It was not a teleport but a merger, giving her concealment and the protection of being mostly insubstantial, while allowing her to know and react to what was going on. She could move from one shadow to another in this way, like a salmon swimming upriver, jumping from pool of darkness to another.

Thus she was able to follow Saibot. She'd lost Ember -- she was not going to lose Garth the first hour she found him.

As she left the room, he answered her question and her self-pitying monologue.

"I am a lycanthrope. I am accustomed to pain." He raised his voice as best he couldso she could hear him.

"That's the point. I didnt care about your origins and gave you a place to stay. I dont give a damn how well you control your powers, or even that you have them. I just wanted to help you..."

With the next cut he was too distracted to avoid screaming.

Cam stopped. She closed her eyes. "I knew you were going to make this hard. And I'm not self-pitying, I'm realistic. If you can't beat them..." She walked back over to him. Staring at him she felt compelled to do something. She looked at the man cutting who was almost to the point of gutting him. "Can't you use him? I mean, I know that you are trying to prove a point and make an example, but between him and I, we might be able to help you through with your plan....?"

She scanned the damage already done and only imagined what was to come. She looked back at him her voice a deadly wisper, "I'm guessing you won't. Save me a seat in hell, you'll get there sonner than I will." She turned again and headed for the exit, she stopped at the doorway, "And just in case I didn't make myself clear. Fuck you too."

Blast had pretty much drained the car dry, while he would have preferred to seek out another source of power, he needed to be heading back. The energy from the muscle car didn't cause the tingling that electric power sources tended to do, instead he felt a thudding sensation in his limbs, as if his blood had suddenly become much more forceful in it's standard trip through his circulatory system.

"This is Blast, I've refueled and I'm heading back, over." he said.

Seven approached the third individual he had shot that day this one had not been wearing body armor and the high velocity rounds had torn clear through him and left three clean entry wounds. He looked from the girl to his victim and back again. This was providing no end of entertainment.

He set the scapel down for a moment. The silver bonds holding Avatar fast were temporarily released as the meta rose into the air and was flipped over onto his back. The bonds closed once more, restraining him.

"Now for the front. My, you could use a tan..."

Demise remained motionless as the cyborg called for help. He would escape then. For the moment he was trapped.

Hazard let out a low moan when the freak kicked him. That bastard. If he still had his gun he'd make him suffer...

Abaddon watched the heroes. One of them disappeared and moved into the maze of cubicles. He was trying to find Abaddon. He wasn't going to make that job an easy one.

He was on the oppasite side of the cubicle farm from Legacies when he moved. He crept slowly and silently to the stairwell, the emergency door still ajar from the fleeing office workers. He slowly pushed the door open and slid into the stairwell before gently shutting the door again. He'd see how long it took them to realize they were hunting a ghost...

He started to move down the stairs as quietly as he could to the basement...

Legacies continued listening to his surroundings, but nothing was moving. Then there was a sound, the cubicle right across from him, tendrils lashed out and tore the divider apart. Nothing, just paper. Legacies hopped up on top of the cubicle farm, crouching down on all fours he scanned over the long line of cubicles. There was an open fire door, then just the long line of empty cubicles. Legacies skittered across the top of the cubicles, looking around more. Nothing was here, this was getting very odd. Legacies scanned the room again, nothing seemed to have changed.

"Saibot, Blackheart, I'm getting nothing in here. He must have moved on."

Saibot would have looked annoyed had his face not been hidden behind the helmet. As it stood, his bodylanguage gave it away.

"My ring can look for tracks, maybe tell us where the hell he went to," he said, as he floated in the air, and a cone of blue tinted energy swept the floor. As the energy beam passed, footprints illuminated, fading out till the ones he was looking for appeared.

The ones laced with Metahuman energy signitures.

He followed the path of footsteps, coming eventually to the door Abaddon escaped down.

"There, he went in there" he said flatly, waiting for orders.

Oh well, Avatar thought as he was flipped over. At least he wasnt being put in sunlight and skinned, continually regenerating. This guy needed to brush up on his torture techniques.

When the silver chains were released, he would used his power to crush their lungs, saddly, it seemed the bastard had some power to supress his powers.

At is stood, there was little blood. One aspect of his lycanthropy was that even in human form he could shunt blood away from his perpheral tissues and it didnt hurt him. He just felt as if his foot was asleep all over his body.

Honestly for a woman you have no sense of taste" he hissed through clenched teeth while struggling to breath properly and control outward signs of the screaming his nerve cells were doing. Avatar inwardly chuckled though. He had to keep sane somehow, and talking might keep them from eventually breaking him. It would help him guard his mind.

Movement flickered off to Saibot's side as Argent shadow-hopped again, the silvery dragon eyes the first thing visible as a draconic head and neck extended slowly from the darkest shadow by his feet. Like a swaying cobra it rose as high as his shoulder before speaking softly to him alone "Don't follow him... please. It's what he's wanting."

The draconic head bowed sheepishly, the silver eyes hooding as a touch of embarrassment slipped her emotional control. "I ..." she stuttered, trying to find the right words "... it felt wrong to let you go alone..." she finally answered, unwilling to search her feelings that deeply as yet.

The dragon couldn't blush, only look more sheepish as the argent eyes sparkled against the inky shadows that formed it. "This shape is as substantial as cobwebs. I'm between shadow and light, not really here. It takes a lot to touch me in this form ... It's you I worry about," she replied, the dragonic head moving to rest against his hand. "I want to be close ... so I can get you out of here."
