Yup, and throw in some NOD war machines like Flame Tanks or Invisible Tanks. The more, the merrier!Ra wrote:Oooh, does that mean I can play the part of the Mogadishu Mob of DOOMâ„¢?
Also, it will make a good BHD analogy. See, the Empire has the technological advantage, but outnumbered and overconfident. The NOD has numbers, and they have an angry mob siding with them too!
The AT-STs are like the Humvees, and of course, the LAATs resemble the Black Hawks. Two LAATs being shot down by a NOD uber-RPG can be a good start. EDIT: make them Obelisk instead; a new prototype Obelisk that can quickly shoot aerial targets. The Empire won't expect it.

So be it. If saying "NO" means being alone, then to hell with love, with romance, with marriage, and all the shit life keeps pumping at me. I'll walk alone, but with freedom and a healed pride.

You still haven't provided any real evidence to that. From his own speculation, this thing might attack his planet, but it might not but he has no hard evidence either way, just the word of strangers and known liars.Narsil wrote:OOC: So Lord Adam is still ignorant that it will spell doom for everything in existance
Galadriel is possibly the only one of the other player's character whom he would actually beleive at face value, and even there, he has to worry about domestic problems too.
How would he know this in universe? He has been backstabbed numerous times, in Phoenix War canon alone. The Imperials unprovocably slaughtered his colony of Destructionators in the Sol system, the Goa'uld launched several attacks against his Milky Way assets, the Guardian agent Khardem manufactured threats and manipulated his populace into almost going into outright rebellion under the guise of mutual non-agreesion. Lord Walper of the Borg lured him to an evil planet and proceed to devastate his Starfleet and cause great personal harm to the Lord himself. When the Doctor makes a claim like that, he likely means it.
What possible reason could he have to trust you[i/], especially after having such a long history of such bullshit from former allies and new encounters?
Nothing has gone right for him thus far, and he realizes sometimes the only winning move is not to play.
I haven't been quoting Shakespeare's Hamlet for nothing, too. But I won't completly give away my plan for my characters yet.

Or my idea for what you do; you could stop bugging the hell out of the poor Lord and let him watch his Star Trek. Ellen knew when to give up and walk away, apparently the Doc-TOR doesn't.

He's the Doctor, he's got all of forever to live, and persistence is his best asset, if he doesn't win the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth or ninth times, you can still be assured that he'll return for a tenth, eleventh, twelth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, etc.

The Lovecraftian element comes into that, actually. I know the Third Doctor is more likely to out-wit the bloody Imperial Arseholes much more indirectly, but we're facing Lovecraft, and it seems to be having an adverse effect on people who have large amounts of exposure to extradimensional matters. It was mainly going to be revealed as time went on with the more erratic behaviour, but thanks for making me ruin a private plot point.SirNitram wrote:We can blame you for sullying a wonderful character with terrible RP.

It's a stupid plot point. Lovecraftian knowledge only cracks the heads of New Englanders in the late 19th, not beings who have faced down things as bad or worse. No one compelled you to spew this, by the way. I criticized you for playing a shitty Doctor, you still are, even with this claim.Narsil wrote:The Lovecraftian element comes into that, actually. Okay, how about you join, and I retain control of only the Tenth and Eleventh (being a tidbit more experienced with the way they operate... and having ) and you play the others... for I've only watched bits and pieces of the older Doctors and I've watched plenty of the newer ones.

Frankly, I dislike the random nature of TGODding, the inane oneupmanship; it's not my thing. I'm merely pointing out, yes, we can complain to you. You are the one portraying him as he is now, and it is a shitty job.Narsil wrote:Okay, how about you join, and I retain control of only the Tenth and Eleventh (being a tidbit more experienced with the way they operate... and having ) and you play the others... for I've only watched bits and pieces of the older Doctors and I've watched plenty of the newer ones.

Take over Taurandir's character so you can wield psionic monk-fu, and follow in Lady Galadriel's perfume trail like everyone else.

Oh, and a side note, Dak, whatcha think about me bringing in Verishah with her psycher skillz? I don't think she's alive during this point in history (she was born about 2250, IIRC), but we can cop it up to time travel.

I think Granny Galads should get a trippy vision as the Eleventh Doctor goes to visit Ra & co... and then say: "Take me offworld, Timelord, I've someone important to this conflict to retrieve..."

So, how are you guys going hundreds of years forward in time if the universe is to come to an end within a few months?
Or do I have the timeline wrong?

Nyarthalotep will go around destroying the universe bit by bit... until there's nothing left.

Alright, I'm officially confused now. You're saying the priest was the Master, although I already established that he was a Catholic priest posessed by Nyar (presumably by the same mindfracking technique that claimed Darth Kreshna and the miner dude back in the GE).
Sorry, I'm just kinda confused about this part. If he was a Timelord, why would he have bothered with magic, rather than stopping time and all that other funky shit Timelords do?

Won't have been the first time he's posed as a priest, it's a common tactic of his; impersonate someone in power and screw things up for everyone elseRa wrote:Alright, I'm officially confused now. They could at one time, but the Eye of Harmony was destroyed and the Time Lords lost a lot of power... and a lot of members...Sorry, I'm just kinda confused about this part. Only the Doctor and the Master remain. And they don't freeze time, they generally go back and erase you from history IIRC, but only the government of Time Lords can do that, and not individual Time Lords in their TARDISes.

Before anyone complains about my character watching Star Trek when the world is coming to an end keep in mind I have no friends.
Yeah, so I'm watching Star Trek with my fictional friend. What's it to you?

Well, they could probably encounter one of the 12 teams of Knights currently in search of worshippers. Otherwise, I am thinking about just having me call Galadriel soon; once they exchange information I will easily be able to advance my plot.
The Destructionators have been quiet. Remember they are like Section 31 here: if they were doing something, it would be entirely behind the scenes. But I don't really see a need to bring them in right now since it seems to be going alright with what I do have.
edit: Oh hell, I think I will just call the Doctor and have him give us a ride.

I think we reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealy need to get something worked out about finding and stopping Nyar here. Sure, we could have a little bit of fun finding him, but the solution Dak's proposing just doesn't sit well with me.
It's just too damn easy to just capture him with ELEVEN TARDIS'es and watch his limbs peel off his body as he spins 'round and 'round in a temporal vortex thingy. We need to find a way to, if I may be frank, gimp the Doctors. One Timelord and his boxxor is overpowered enough, TBH.
Though such an ending would be immensely funny. "Hey, Nyar, remember that astronaut from Mission to Mars that got ripped apart by that tornado? Now you get to feel the same way! HAHAHAHAHAHA!".

Listen to me carefully...
The Time Vortex does not work like that. It's essentially a slightly more temporal form of hyperspace, which is used by Time Lords (and other people) to travel through time and space. It just had an odd set of physics which can confuse and weaken an extradimensional creature if used correctly. He'll still be formidable, merely weakened and he might be cut off from his followers due to the fact that he'll not be in the same dimension.
