Well I wouldn't be a proper GM if I didn't royally piss the characters off with arrogent self-righteous NPCs! Plus I figure it's exactly like most of the government orgnizations I know. 1. You would get some very strange results from this probably leading to a relatively quick death, your brain's pleasure centers go off anytime you do anything right. Hell, drinking water sets them off to an extent, especially if you are thirsty at the time. So every necicary function would lead them to horrible pain causing them to avoid necicary things like eating and drinking, where as pain cues from starvation would be pleasureable so they might dehydrated and die from it but have a great big grin on their face. A better and easier torture would be just to turn up the sensativity on all nervendings so you would feel pain from every action even passive ones like food moving through your digestive tract, this acutally does happen to people who are in withdrawl from heroin use because the heroin has been blocking pain receptors for so long they are hyper sensative. (like your eyes are to light after being in dark too long)
