Gravitas was relaxing. The helicopters were a nice touch. "Funny how this sort of show of force never shows when the bad guy's doing smashing." He smirked. "Eh, time to get out of here... Cleanup's for government dogs.."

The questions she had got lost in a low purr. This was the first man who'd not ran screaming from the intense intimacy of her empathy. He was also the first man who'd been able to withstand experiencing multiple climaxes. Even just laying beside him made her feel safe, comforted, adored... she'd never felt so many gentle emotions like this before, not directed towards her.

He chuckled, watching as she slide out of bed. Her movements where so fluid and smoooth, just like her body. He growled slightly at that though, and at the lust it provoked, before he grinned playfully at her.

"Down boy..." she teased, blowing him a kiss as she grapped a towel and robe. "Business first, pleasure later." It was a quick shower, amazingly enough. She emerged with her hair wet and smelling of citrus and cloves. "Your turn.. street clothes or 'uniforms'?" she asked, trying not to get drawn back into the bed, despite how nice he looked lying there in the sheets.

Ultima helicopters appeared on the horizon as they decended towards the park. Black suited agents swarmed the area to secure it. Med teams rushed to the injured to provide emergency treatment before medivacing them back to HQ.

Agent Tarot stepped out of one of the helos, making his way towards Agent Blackheart.
"Agent Blackheart, report your status. Have you found the Senator?"

The EMTs loaded John’s body onto the helicopter and returned to HQ the mark seven body responded accordingly, it detected that it was being moved by someone other than Dr. Rocky and began the process of reviving John’s mind. It was sooner than expected and the brain chemistry was still a bit off, but no worse than waking up from a nightmare.

She could, really, honestly, get used to this. She watched him walk away, admiring the view from behind. Yes. She could really. REALLY. get used to this.

Amusing.. no, amazing that earlier today they'd been on opposite sides. Some people would think she'd gone crazy. Those would also be the people who would take days to get up the courage to ask a woman out, totally unsure of how that woman would react.

Lei didn't have to wonder. She could sense it, feel every nuance of emotion from the moment she met a man. That had saved Ember a couple of heartaches in the past, and saved Lei a lot of headaches as well. She didn't know the hows or the whys... but she knew with certainty that Garth would face heaven and hell to be with her.

And that he'd need street clothes. Time to dig into Ember's room and get some of her 'stash' of ex-boyfriend clothing. Funny how most of them were designer labels... one of the perks of knowing certain elements of ChinaTown's underbelly.

He took his time in the shower, intentionally, letting the hot water roll over him. He let himself relax, the water washing away his concerns and the past two days worth of grim, sweat and frustrations.

If he had to do it all over again, he'd change everything but one thing, meeting her. He never would have gone to that building for those control chips, he never would have gotten knocked down by Blackheart, who he still owed for that suckerpunch, and he wouldn't be saddled with this mission for Ultimas.

But then again, he probably wouldn't have met her.

He let the water stop, grabbed a towel, and dried himself off. He was careful around his ribs, they still hurt from the broken bones.

He tossed the towel over his shoulder after he was done, and walked out the bathroom, still as nude as can be, and with a confident swager.

"Now...what are we going to do about clothes for me?" he said almost to himself, but still loud enough Lei could hear it.

He tossed the towel over his shoulder after he was done, and walked out the bathroom, still as nude as can be, and with a confident swager.

"Now...what are we going to do about clothes for me?" he said almost to himself, but still loud enough Lei could hear it.

She walked out of Ember's room with her hands full of men's clothing... and stopped dead in her tracks.

Wow. Just... wow. And he knew it too, that was the only thing that got her moving again was his amusement at her reaction. "Here.." she said, handing him the jeans, shirt, and even a pair of boxerbriefs. "Ember often had company."

She had already dressed, now wearing a tight pair of low-cut jeans that fit like second skin, and a baby-doll T-shirt bearing the likeness of HelloKitty. Between shirt and jeans was a tease of bare skin, and her long black hair was pulled up in a loose knot at the back of her neck.

He pulled on the clothes, noting the designer labels. A Polo Shirt and designer jeans. He frowned a lil at the fit, not like he enjoyed it...but they'd do until he got back to his place.

He eyed her up and down, his green eyes flashing for a moment as he took in her form. Yeah, she was definatly a catch. He moved over to his boots, and pulled them on, sliding the jean legs over it to hide them somewhat.

Tarot's attention turned to Gravitas. He placed the face with a name, as much history as they had on the individual and all he knew. He wasn't involved with this group.
"Ah, and our world's favorite illegal alien. We were wondering when you'd show up again. As for our methodology I don't believe you have a say in the matter.

"However, if you care to argue this point I'm sure we can take this somewhere private to discuss this in a manner you're more comfortable with. If it will make you feel better I'll let you know that in only slightly less then a third of the potentital fights we could have in the next five to ten minutes you win. The black hole in the stomach was a particularly painful way to die. Of course watching you go catatonic when I isolated your mind from the temporal stream was equally amusing.

"Now, on that note, I believe we're finished with that particular tangent. You're welcome to join us at headquarters for official debrief and questioning of any prisoners."

That got a laugh out of her as she picked up a designer shoulderbag large enough to hold and hide her 'working clothes'. "Name the nearest restaurant, hero," she replied as she paused for a moment to reprogram the stereo and set it repeating one certain song. "I like italian."
Amazing how simple security can be when you rent from the Grandfather of the local Chinese gang... one series of songs when you come in to let them know you're there and what you need, and one song playing to let them know you're leaving, and if you need a maid to stop by. The maid would shut down the stereo when she left... and the entire contents of Ember's room would be removed, the valuables fenced and Argent's share placed into her 'bank account' with the Grandfather. The arraignment had worked for a few years now.

She did pause long enough to pull a pair of mirrored shades out of her bag and slip them over her eyes, hiding the telltale signs of her meta/otherness. "Which way?"
