One Way Ticket to Hell and Back
-The Darkness...

It was a dusty old night
and I'm the first to admit it
I'm sure i upset someone
But my memory has chosen to omit it

A tiny voice was telling me
i should cool it
Chewing my face off
talking absolute rubbish

The first line hit me like a kick in the face
Thought I better have another just in case
Next thing i knew my heart was under attack
Bought a one way ticket to hell....

And Back!
One Way Ticket to hell and back
Bought a one way ticket to hell and back
One way ticket to hell and back
Bought a one way ticket to hell and back

I'm always trying to keep my vices under wraps
But a coach load of mutes would appear talkative chaps
They seemed fit to join me for a couple of hits
But my septum is in tatters
And I've still got the runs

Burn for a moment then you kick like a mule
Strangers are agreeing that it was rocket fuel
Seveal lines are chocking like a glorious game
Bought a one way ticket to hell...

And back!
One Way Ticket to hell and back
Bought a one way ticket to hell and back
One way ticket to hell and back
Bought a one way ticket to hell and back

[Sitar / effects]
Stick it up your f*cking nose! (Woohoo!)
[Solo]

Holy coke, repeating myself, except I'm getting slightly louder
Pausing long enough to snort that white powder
Wheels steering off but I'm still on track
Bought a one way ticket to hell

And back!
One way ticket to hell and back (yeah)
Bought a one way ticket to hell and back (ooh yeah)
One way ticket to hell and back,
Bought a one way ticket to hell (oooh yeaah)

One way ticket to hell and back (woo!)
Bought a one way ticket to hell and back
One way ticket to hell and back,
Bought a one way ticket to hell...

Brian Eno is a jazz/electronic musician who was also believed to produce David Bowie's famous Berlin Trilogy (although it wasn't true).

Fila Brazilia, however, are not musicians themselves; they're more like DJs and of 'producers of compiled brands' instead of musician. See, they, collected various works of various artists, mixing them with chill/ambient elements, and publish them under cover version label. You know, just like Buddha Bar, Cafe del Mar, and Putumayo (albeit Putumayo is more focused in groovy ethnic).

Yes, chillout/groove is not quite a new genre. It may be a new pop-culture phenomenon, but that one Fila Brazilia album (Another Late Night; which has Brian Eno's tune among others) was purchased by me way back on year 2000. Furthermore, Leftfield have been famous for their chill/downtempo tunes long before Chillout become a popular phenomenon like it is today. And do anyone remember tunes like Moby's Porcelain in year 2000, or Chicane's No Ordinary Morning in 2002?

Anyway, now I'm listening to No Ordinary Morning.

Just a note: Another Late Night is probably more "jazzy" instead of its more techno/ambient counterparts like Cafe del Mar albums, but it is still chill indeed.

Old Hymns.

Found the words to one of my favorites:
My Father's World wrote:
This is my Father’s world, and to my list’ning ears,

All nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres.

This is my Father’s world, I rest me in the thought

Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas — His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father’s world, the birds their carols raise,

The morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker’s praise.

This is my Father’s world, He shines in all that’s fair;

In rustling grass I hear Him pass, He speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Father’s world, O let me ne’er forget

That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.

This is my Father’s world, the battle is not done,

Jesus who died shall be satisfied, and earth and heav’n be one.

Here is the different ending of the last verse:

This is my Father’s world; why should my heart be sad?

The Lord is King: let the heavens ring! God reigns: let the earth be glad!

Another Perfect Catastrophe-Firewater

Ain't nothing like it
When it's twisting and reeling
They'll put the boot right in your eye
Because when the floor turns into wall
And then the wall turns into ceiling
Oh what a lovely way to die
Another perfect catastrophe
Is just waiting to happen
Waiting for the moment to transpire
Another perfect catastrophe
Is just dying to go down
It's only looking for the
Perfect place and time

Oh wouldn't you love
To be my partner in crime
So many tricks that we could try
So if you want to find out
What it would been like to my
Co-conspiritor
Open up the door and step inside

When retreat is not an option
And remorse just ain't your style
There must be something left to do
Because every tragedy is a comedy
Unless you're the victim
Then you're just another monkey in the zoo

But the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man for precisely the same reasons
