CC: How far outside the facility does the psychic jamming extend? In particular, is it covering the PDF positions as well?

Its like a cocoon around the facility. It doesn't affect the PDF guys, who are dug in a half dozen klicks away.

Okay, then I think we have some confusion here, because our friendly messenger from the Necrontyr was posting about the PDF being rather closer. I shall amend my plans regarding the land-line to compensate.

NecronLord is playing an augmented superhuman wearing power armour with enhanced sensory equipment and refering to fairly visible defensive works. Its all good.

Well, he also mentioned letting the PDF see him, so I assumed they were rather closer than six kilometres. Still, it requires only minor adjustments to my plan, so it's not really an issue.

Does this plan involve having the PDF bombard the enemy position for a few days with deadly gases that will seep deep into the tunnels to kill the enemy?

No, that may come later, if it turns out that this mysterious enemy is actually vulnerable to gas. The current plan involves getting around the jamming by placing a relay station outside it and connecting it to us directly.

In regard to Nitram's question - where is the Tantalus system, anyway? Has it been specified?

Spinward section of Segmentum Tempestes, ~thousand lightyears from the Ultima Segmentum boarder.

And yes, there is probably something that can serve as a secondary air control center, but this is a few landing pads, not an airport.

The badies weapons fall between hellguns and pulse carbines in firepower. Their armour is a little better than mesh, but not equal to carapace and the critters are tough, although not Ork or Astartes tough.

Now would be an excellent time for our heroic brothers in the Deathwatch to make an appearance and save the day...

Well, personally, I had no idea how close or far away they are. But even PDF can have futurey binoculars. *Nods towards the latest Caiphas Cain book*

I'm off to start picking fights with my Ordo Xenos army. Tacitus, you're welcome to run Crassiros in case there's something needs reacting to and I'm not on.

Well, that's a small problem, because I'll be going to bed fairly soon myself, and I won't be available most of tomorrow.

Just as a note, Messenger, earlier I had the Cat spend several minutes chewing me out for an earlier version of my post where I, much like you, attempted to 'suppress' 40-odd fearless beast who're immune to anything less than a regular bolt.

Oh, and the Cat is offline, as I will be for a while. It looks like you're on your own there Tacticus.

Bleah. Looks like I have some serious catching up to do...sorry for the absence, out-of-state weddings play merry hell with posting times.
