Torma paused, her head tilting to the side ash she thougth about it for a moment. "... no... no.... vension is sweeter. Victory really has no taste, it's kind like a rush of joy.

The spell on Torma had also worn off, leaving the young dragon to fall asleep in the corner of the room out of sheer boredom.

It had been a blessing, since she'd talked until they'd wanted her tongue to fall out.

They knelt in a circle around the Harbringer. The room was dark, almost devoid of light. One of the acolytes spoke. "Lord, they saw me."

The Harbringer was still. "It was them?"

"Yes lord."

"The commands of our master are clear. They must be obeyed."

"Lord, they evaded us."

"They cannot hide from us for long. Find them. They are watching us closely. I will not report failure to Them."

"Travelling with a dragon does make a group stand out." Malkamar laughed, flashing a smile. "I can probably go unnoticed. I'm not exactly the stand-out type and I'm good at being unseen. I can go looking, if you guys want to head straight to the Abbey."

Torma looked Astinius in the eye. "I. Don't. Care. I am going out." she hissed. "If I am so noticeable, then I can play bait. However....." and she bared her teeth. All of them. "They will not find me easy prey. Let. Me. out."

Astinius took note of his options. He could either stand his ground, and be moved the dragon, who would leave regardless. Or he could move, and the dragon would leave. He applied Elminster's Razor and removed an unneeded variable, him being forcably moved, from the equation.

"Speaking of corn... I'm hungry.." Torma said as she walked fastidiously down the middle of the ... well... alleyway. Can't call something this narrow a street. "eeeeeeeeew.... That... that... Urgh... what kind of animal would do that in the middle of the street!" she complained, as she avoided a nasty puddle. "That wasn't horse or oxen... Phew!"

She eyed a couple of the nearby houses, and decided there was a better way to travel. With total ease she reared up and used her natural spiderclimb ability to walk up one of the crumbling buildings, startling a couple of pigeons as she got to the top.

There was an audible snap, and after a moment a few feathers gently settled down into the alleyway.

He now appeared to be a human male in a different mage's attire. More simple, in fact, he looked a bit like a mage he knew named Alvarius in the Dalelands.
