Rogue two things:
1) Is that rather high hit point total correct?
2) What is Shadowguard?

Since I just realized I never explained them...
Shadowsmith powers.
Touch Of Shadow(10/day)
For 1 minute per level, my hands and feet are wreathed in shadows. I gain a bonus equal to my class level to Climb and Balance. I don't leave anything to be tracked by.
Shroud Of Shadow(10/day)
For 1 minute per level, my body is wrapped in shadows. Gain a bonus equal to my class level in Hide and Move Silently.
Shadow Craft(5/day)
I can create any object I could craft normally by reaching into shadows and pulling it out. I can create magical equipment by rolling the appropriate Craft, with a DC of 20 + the enhancement bonus equivalent. It's a Swift Action due to my level. I can only have one enchanted peice of equipment at a time.
Widen Shroud
Can affect others with Shroud.
Armour Of Shadow +4
Can summon armour that generates a deflection bonus to AC.

Stupid question... are we all supposed to be in/around Westgate at the start? Nitram pointed that out to be *after* I made my post.
Then again... a dragon shouldn't be sleeping in Westgate itself without protection, right?

The opener makes it clear that you are near or around Westgate, which is a cosmopolitan town and your character can speak Common.LadyTevar wrote:Stupid question... are we all supposed to be in/around Westgate at the start? Nitram pointed that out to be *after* I made my post.

Shadowguard is a +4 mithral improved silent moves chain shirt of improved shadow, which I forgot to copy over from the other character sheet. Mea culpa.
As for the hit point count, yes, it's correct. I have a record of the rolls in the private notes section of the sheet, which you of course can't see. I rolled well. For the record:
6+4+4+3+4+4+5
10+7+9+10+7+7+9+10
First line is rogue HD, second is paladin.

Okay, some notes about damage.
I don't intend to reveal status of fortification gear, Rogue levels, elemental resistances, no discernable anatomy, etcetera etcetera, so please break your damage down into appropriate elements.
Example. 13 sword +6 holy + 5 fire +21 sneak attack + 11 critical=56.
Thanks.

I would think no discernible anatomy would be an obvious one, given that I would be unable to discern it.

The NPC is fine. For the record I really don't like the Book of Exalted Deeds. The idea is fine its the execution of the book that doesn't sit right.

Exalted was a case of Great Ideas, Shitty Execution(Just like Truename Magic). The worst is Vow Of Poverty.
Which class, thematically, is most likely to take such a vow? Monks. Have you seen what happens when the equipment-lite Monk takes such? It's sick. Sick and wrong.

Heh. I forget the NPC's name; he's a rogue 3/paladin 1. I'll be able to tell you once I get back to my place.
Edit: Solarian Goblinslayer, page 16, under The Peasant Hero. I decided to take the character and cast him as a new and perhaps a little overeager member.
As for the BoED itself, yes, it was poorly executed. Absolutely no argument from me. They simply mirrored the Book of Vile Darkness in too many places where purest good simply should have no equivalent to blackest evil. Ravages and afflictions particularly pissed me off, simply from a thematic standpoint.
And I once made a fighter with Vow of Poverty, just for sheer shits and giggles. I literally ran out of feats to take that he was qualified for.

Well, I guess we'd best get out there and find him, presuming he hasn't been killed right off. Is it getting dark yet?

Hey, Torma's too young to make such decisions. If it had been *her* choice, she'd have been wandering around town all day exploring.

Sorry, been without Internet access for several days. I guess we'll search for Solarian, though I kind of wrote myself into a corner there; I'd have to determine just what he was up to first. I left that to the good DM on purpose, but if we're looking for him, I'd have to know where to look.

You don't know exactly where to look, cell system and all that. And the DM does have plans, he's just, well NEUTRAL EVIL and not sharing them with you.
EDIT: Tell me how you are going to search and make Search, Gather Information, Knowledge (local) roles as appropriate.

Well, he'd probably have been staking out a suspected Night Mask hideout as part of a small team. I'll head up into the city and try to track down his cell leader. I'll do this later, though; have to jet now.

The DM is only NEUTRAL Evil?!Code: Select all
Chaotic Evils aren't orangized enough to be good GMs, plus they cheat, constantly. It's easier to mark time by the periods they aren't cheating really. Lawful Evils are to rigid, they tend to get hung up in plot lines and word games. However, Nuetral Evil characters are those who will do any action in order to advance their goals. If they need to work in a group, they work in a group, if they need to slice open throats in someone's sleep, they'll do that to. This makes this alignment the best for an aspiring GM. One should note however that NE GMs tend to result in alot of PC suffering.
