that is what you hope you get. I had ram put in once. The idiot screwed a screw in sideways and pierced the case.

often times it's best just to send it back to the manufacturer. Not many people are qualified to repair laptops and your typical A+ certified monkey wouldn't even begin to know how

same song. Sony was supposed to fix it once month after i bought this one. They took over two months and cost me a good amount of $. I got the parts back and they had misdiagnosed it and played me around for a year until they said it was to late to investigate it. Drove me crazy.
The dvd drive stopped ejecting and now won't work.

Depending on the problem and your computer know-how, listen to their diagnosis and see if it's bullshit or not.

An example: I needed to replace my DVD drive on my Toshiba laptop and my bro took it to J&R. They gave this bullshit that it was a software problem and we had to pay fifty fucking bucks when it wasn't (and you don't bullshit a brother with a computer science major). We then took the laptop back and gave it to a different authorized repair facility named Laptop Service Inc which replaced the drive in two days tops.

I don't really think sending it in to godknowswhere the manufacturer's repair facility is a good idea. Going to a local authorized repair center is much easier to handle since you can just take it back if you don't like their diagnosis like we did and go to a different repair store.
