#1 magi makes some pictures.

Post by frigidmagi »

Okay my interenet tends to crap out about mid morning and stay out until the late afternoon. So I do various things to amuse myself. Today I fucked with paint and saved image from one of my favority webcomics http://www.questionablecontent.net. Both images are of a character named Faye from comic 469.

Image

The text isn't really witty I know, nothing really came to me.

Image

I picked blue background because there had been no blue shades in the actual comic I stole the images from. This way I wouldn't have to worry about matching the shades, which tends to be somewhat difficult for me. By the way does anyone know how to make the Text in paint not revert it's background to white? Recoloring that was a pain in the ass.

On the side panel with all the tools and stuff, when you select the Text tool (or either of the selection tools at the top), below the tools are two icons. The top one makes the text have an opaque background, colored with your second color chosen, and the bottom one makes it transparent. you could either have the background color the same as the background already there, or pick the second option.

Thanks, I did some experiments with that and...

Image

No real point to this little slash and hacking of a comic called Order of the Stick, but I thought it was funny.

Image

What I really wish is I could stop the color degradation when I save in paint. The orginal pics look alot smoother.

This one needs something to make it more funny/wrong. The idea was for this to be a ad for the socialist party (yes the US doesn't have a socialist party that exist outside of college campuses, so what?). Any suggestions?

I like the top OOTS one myself.

Meanwhile, I'd stop messing around in paint. At least get GiMP or something. I only use paint when I want to make very basic stick figure cartoons for work and put them on the projector.

For the last one:

One Overlord, One Dark Master in the shadows. Hordes of mindless servants. Don't you want to support El Presidente?

Alternatively:

Who needs Health Care? Rise from the dead and vote for your representative, Strom Thurmond! He's the only representative to care for the vitally challenged.

A guy you lock in your basement with a leather mask.

Seriously though, it's a freeware image editing program about as powerful as photoshop. Do a search (with safesearch on, obviously) on Google, you'll find it.
