"I have heard good things about the Jolly Warrior." Malkamar nodded. "Though I'm sure a dragon there will stir up plenty of trouble. Let's save the Lady for when we have a small army backing us up. Maybe an army of dragons, just to be sure."

Ah... curiousity. The bane of cats and young dragons alike. "What's so bad about the Purple Lady?" Torma asked, her head tilting to one side.

"I wont be" the mage said with a grin under his sash. In fact, he thought, provided he lived to be powerful enough, with magic, he could probably outlife the dragon by centuries, but he didnt mention that part.

"I do concur however, the Purple Lady is a bit toorisky" he closed his eyes, mentally reviewing the spells he had stored within his mind and body.

"I could not extricate us if we got into trouble... But with the spells I have, I do not forsee a need" the archmage said coldly inwardly grinning at the thought of alternatively immolating and freezing the wicked as his fist clenched slightly.

"Let's try not to burn down the Warrior while we're at it, Astinius," said Gaheris with a wry grin. "I don't go there much, because I'm trying to maintain cover as a poor man from the Shore who occasionally goes to the House of Ilmater and this temple and such can't afford the prices they charge, but I do like the place. Do we want to do this tonight?"

"Will I be doing my 'Fop With Too Much Money' act, or should I employ some black paint and shave my head for the 'Shade Prince' routine again?" Malkamar mused to himself. "But utimately, let's try to get through a night in enemy territory without a brawl, I agree with Gaheris."

"YES!" came the delighted squeal. Torma was tired of cramped dingy houses, dank alleys, and the oppressive weight of the Temple around them. Besides, those little pigeons eggs weren't enough to feed her properly.

"Burn the place to the ground? WHatever do you mean?" the archmage quipped with a 'who? Me?!" tone of voice which sounded innocent, and oddly guilty at disturbing at the same time

"I have no objection to going tonight. I havn't had the chance to use any of my numerous battle-spells today, so the only problem is emergency extraction."

Torma's head turned to glare at Astinius. "Why do you think there'll be fighting? I just want Dinner!"

"Astinius... If you start a fight while Torma and I are trying to enjoy a nice, normal meal..." Malkamar scolds. Though it's hard to take seriously: A dragon and a Shadovar likely never have a 'Normal' meal.

"Between Torma and Percival, we can arrange extraction in more conventional ways. I'll arrange some backup, just in case." He turned to Solarian. "I need you to go find Crisen. He should be at the safehouse on Westlight Walk, across from Fortuneboon Hall. Tell him I need him and a couple other men to be in the general area of Mulsantir's Gate tonight, and to watch for a disturbance at the Jolly Warrior. Wear a disguise on your way there, and then go to ground."

"That isn't what you said forty five seconds ago" Astinius shot back with a grin. "We could give them a target to focus on" he said, trying to immitate her voice as best he could.

"Besides, A Shadowvar, an Archmage, a Copper Dragon, and a Paladin walking into even a fine establishment will invariably end in trouble in one form or another. It seems at least with this group, to be an immutable law of the universe. Mystra be praised!"

"But.. but... but..." Torma sputtered. "I just want Dinner! I don't fight on an empty stomach." she rose on her haunches and crossed her forelegs petulantly, her tailtip lashing dangerously (to anyone behind her). "No. Nonono. If we're going to fight, then let's go to that Purple Lady and fight. But I want DINNER. I don't want to hunt and cook it myself."
And, to add insult, she stuck her arrow-point tongue out and raspberried Gar.

"That is why we do not advertise ourselves as more than a Shadovar fop, a mageling, and a man from the Shore." Malkamar paused. "And the great and powerful dragon, I guess it's hard to hide that."

"Well Torma, it isnt as if you wouldn't be able to eat before we end up getting into a fight, if that happens, it is not guaranteed necessarily... I'll tell you what. I wont cause trouble until after you finish eating. At least not on purpose"

Torma eyed Malk after the 'great a powerful dragon' crack. It was surprisingly disconcerting to be eyed in that manner. "Flattery isn't going to work this time."

"Will some of the fine Maztican cocoa work, then?" Malkamar smiled. When all else fails, bribe, bribe, bribe.

"Flattery? Not work on a copper dragon? When did this happen! Where was I!? Why didnt you tell me!? Oh well, bribery will always work on any dragon. So, Torma, what if I got you some nice roasted Venison?"

Torma's eyes got huge. First, the look to Malk. "Cocoa...?" she repeated, as if never hearing the word before.
Then, her head swiveled towards Astinius. "Roast Venison...?" that got her to flick her tongue around her lips wistfully. "With those spiced red potatoes?" Tailtwitch. tailtwitch.

"Cocoa is a rare treat from across the sea. Trust me when I say you will like it. As for the Venison, yes. With the potatoes as well, so long as they have the stuff. If they dont, I will make it a point to get some for you"

Solarian nodded. "Will do boss." He turned and headed out.

Gaheris nodded to Solarian and watched his man leave. Then he turned to Torma, chuckling. "You won't always have just eaten before we fight, dearest Tormantineth," he said with a grin. "Sometimes, there just isn't time. But I don't think that'll be a problem tonight, not unless our opponents are really quick to the punch." Judging that Solarian had been gone long enough, he poked his head out the door and flagged down the nearest monk.

Torma snorted at Gar's comment, even as she knew he was right. Having him pronounce her name perfectly, with the right inflections did make her feel all special. "All right... Fine.." she sighed, with all the grace of a teenager giving in, then eyed Malk. "Do you have any of this... cocoa...?"

"Brother Tanthius," Gaheris called out to a passing monk, "could you come here a moment, please?"
