Gaheris jerked his head towards the monastery exit. "Solarian Goblinslayer should just be leaving the abbey gates now. I would like you to follow him, if you don't have other duties to attend to. He was ambushed this afternoon and nearly killed, and I would like you to both watch his back and see if he detects you tailing him. He needs to learn caution and awareness."

"Tyr go with you." He turned back into the room and smiled. "Now that that's over with, I believe we can prepare to go out and enjoy a nice dinner. Just one thing for me." He spoke a rune in Celestial, one that was clearly a word of Power, but unlike most of his gifts from Tyr, this one didn't manifest any blinding glory, no light from his eyes, no nimbus framing his sword. He simply spoke, and seemed ever so slightly subdued.

The shield was in place about his mind and soul. Should anyone try to divine his nature or intent, they would find nothing.

[Undetectable alignment. Alignment cannot be discerned by any non-epic means for 24 hours.]

"Indeed. I will go change into... finery. I cant play the part of a haughty gentry wizard without the finery" he said, rolling his eyes at the way some of his Brothers in the Art acted sometimes.

"Don't most of them go around flirting with the females as well?" Torma asked, innocently. "Or have one hanging on their arm all night, or in their lap? How are you going to fake that, Astinius?"

No, the little dragon couldn't be teasing him about female companionship ... she's not old enough to know what it means, right?

"I think we'll need to worry more about the good patrons of the Warrior wondering about why there's a dragon at the bar rather than why any given wizard doesn't have a pleasure slave hanging on his arm," he added wryly.

"Hardly." Malkamar shook his head. "There are lower ones too." He pulled out the second pair. "Shadovar finery. It's a long and tremendously boring story. Besides, I can walk in daylight. I just prefer not to."

"Well, technically because they're not alive to kill," he responded with a rueful chuckle. "But the main reason is that their existence is not common knowledge and we don't know where they lair. If word got out to the general population, it could start a panic."

"That, and their power base is to large to effectively assault with our small numbers. As for polymorphing you into a female Torma, I am in luck, as I only had the spell prepared the one time. I have to wait until tomorrow to cast it again" he said, a hint of victory in his voice.

Astinius' grin didn't last long as a sultry female voice next to his ear spoke loudly and clearly "Give me a kiss, handsome!"

Gotta love GhostSound... especially when you can distract the archmage enough that he doesn't notice the casting.
