I have discovered why it didn't load for me (short answer: the code is shit, long answer it is frames leading to meta refresh leading to flash movie, all of which I have disabled for various reasons). Anyway, I went through and got it to load despite the fact they don't care about web accessibility and watched it.
I didn't really find it depressing at all. Yeah, most people on Earth are in worse conditions than I do, but the fact is that there is nothing I can do about it.
