This is where I think the plot is going:
The Ladys and possibly Ra are going to be smuggled into Imperial space with two objectives:
1) Find a Jedi Knight
2) Secretly, nuke the nexus if need be.
Back on A'millian prime, Lord Adam is going to start revealing the Guardians true intentions, but he will personally stay in the Milky Way do engage in combat with the Borg.
The Borg have a way to get rid of both the Guardians and the Phoenix, but noone knows it. Wheather this will be used is unknown. The first epic battle between Lord Adam and Robert Walper draws near. The consequences of this batle are unknown.
After Lord Adam is finshed using the Ancients powers to face Walper and the truth sinks into the people, Khardem is done.
The outcome of the mission in Imperial space is unknown. Will Darth Kreshna survive? I do not know.

Um, number (1) won't be that easy; nobody knows whether a Jedi still exist, let alone find one.
Regarding no. (2), where is the Guardian Central Nexus? Frankly, I ain't got no idea yet.

Amy Lee has a slight solution, one that could be used as a last resort. She found the DNA pattern of Aayla Secura at the bee farm, and wants to have her cloned. She'll tell Galadriel of the plan after the meeting ends.
However, that's not supposed to be the final solution, because KAN is still promising to have a surprise Jedi that's going to show up the end. Just need some way to continue the storyline, get the meeting done, and smite all those fucks that celebrated Secura's death.

By the way, folks, this is a game. Yes, I can deliver the final solution (and that would be a surprise! :) ), but how exactly the story would evolve depends on how we play it.
Right now, The Organization is inciting a war against the Goa'ulds, using their influence in Imperial Conservative Media :P and of course, Imperial high-ranks to attack the Goa'uld nation, using issues like terrorism and WMDs. ;)
However, I imagine Galadriel is a resourceful and skilled diplomat. Moreover, Amy Lee is a celebrity; who knows she can use her influence and popularity to incite anti-war campaign among the Imperial's population, as well as doing some "Peace Concert" and such. And of course, there are still Liberal Media in the Empire. :D
I guess XNN (Xizor News Network) will be the Empire's conservative media. Yeah, Prince Xizor is dead but his son, Alexander Xizor, is still around even though he's more interested of being an international playboy, mingling with the likes of Sandra Kuat and Darth Kreshna in jet-set places like the now-dead Ibizan and La Aurora lounge.
What would represent Imperial's liberal media? Any suggestions? Probably Amidala Communications? Anyone could devise a better name?
And there's still global politics to consider. How about the Trolls? While they officially are still at war against the Empire, the Empire doesn't pay much attention to them anymore. It is the A'millans who are still aggressively attacking the Empire.
The Borg woiuld be a wildcard... They are still busy attacking Mordor, while Lord Walper is still busy on vacation with his youngest brother. Alright, Walpie. Now I'm really jealous of you. I mean, TWO vacations in a row? :P
Mind you, the Borg has lent their fleet to the Goa'ulds, while the A'millan is still at war with the Borg. Now, I guess things are a little bit more complicated, isn't it? But if you like to play STGOD with emphasize on diplomacy, I guess you'll love the problem. Global politics, anyone?

An Anti-War movement in the Galatic Empire would end up blood stains on Storm Trooper Armor. No one got power in there by being a nice guy who bowwed to the will of people. In the Empire the people are damn well told what their will is.

OK, KAN. How the hell did Number Two and the gang even know Lee is working for me? They knew she was on the surface, but she was never caught. Forget about surviellance, she fooled the sensors.
Not to mention, with our upcoming mission, I don't have time to fight a hopeless war against thousands of ships. If you're going to do this nonsense, don't be surprised if I pull a few Maiar tricks out of my hat.

Didn't Amy Lee face Darth Kreshna during the combat after Irene was 'killed'?Ra wrote:OK, KAN. How the hell did Number Two and the gang even know Lee is working for me? They knew she was on the surface, but she was never caught. Forget about surviellance, she fooled the sensors.
No, no, no. The war isn't even started yet; the Organization is working to influence the government, but the problem is, they don't even have evidence that Amy Lee is working with the Goa'ulds (besides Darth Kreshna's personal combat against her and Galadriel).Ra wrote:Not to mention, with our upcoming mission, I don't have time to fight a hopeless war against thousands of ships. See, the first time Amy arrived on Naboo, the Taxi driver gave her a pen which is actually a bugging device. The Organization initially knew nothing besides some suspicion derived from the fact that the rock star had been seen mingling around with the Goa'ulds. However, Number Six went so far by trying to kidnap Amy from her hotel room. Well, she did escape through the window, but it just stirred further suspicion: why did she has to do that? And if she was on Naboo just for vacation or something, why did she actually anticipate such attempt? And when their bee farm was infiltrated, it is pretty easy for Number Two to figure out 1+1=2.
However, in practice, it wouldn't be easy for The Organization to incite a war. See, The Empire is already at war with the USSR... I mean the Guardians, while it is also still offficially at war with the Trolls and the A'millans as well. Another war with the Goa'ulds would be considered costly by Imperial Congress... I mean Imperial Council, not to mention military top-brasses would be unhappy to open too many fronts simultaneously.
Unless if Osama Bin Khardem decide to do some act of terrorism against the Empire.
Lord Adam: Khardem? Since when do you grow a beard? And what is it with the turban?
Khardem: Well, since we are doing a Jihad against the Empire, I guess I better wear something fits our cause.
Ra wrote:]OOC: KAN, whoever that is, it ain't Number Two. :P
What, didn't you notice Emilio Largo from Thunderball? Probably we well see a privately-owned (perhaps more luxurious and less-armed?) Star Destroyer named Disco Volante.
Probably Francisco Scaramanga will appear in the STGOD as 'The Man With The Golden Lightsaber' in a mission to assassinate Galadriel. Or Huttfinger and his bodyguard Huttjob will make a cameo appearance...... :P
Well the Empire in this STGOD universe is not ruled by Palpatine (he was already dead on Endor); instead, an Imperial Council keep the government run, together with Prime Minister Sate Pestage as Head of Government.frigidmagi wrote:An Anti-War movement in the Galatic Empire would end up blood stains on Storm Trooper Armor. By the way, I thought Palpatine's dictatorship is way more subtle than a typical Banana Republic, isn't it? While Stormtroopers are seen as harbringer of terror in outer regions, I guess Core Worlds citizens actually support Palpatine while enjoying some degree of freedom and even prosperity. I read somewhere (was it Lusankya's post on SDN?) that some EU sources mentioned Palpatine is viewed as benevolent and wise ruler by the public.
I don't know, I just feel uncomfortable to imagine Imperial citizens living oppressed like those in communist-era Russia. Would it be reasonable to hypothesize that daily lives of average Imperial citizens would be something more like Mahathir's Malaysians? 'Benevolent' dictatorship? (at least before Alderaan?)

There are many ways to appear benevolent. I remind you the Imperial Government has complete control over the media of the Empire. Thus the Anti-War movement becomes a collection of dangerous devients, bent on making the Empire defenless against those who would destory it, even has the rebellion was painted has a band of anarchist thugs and criminals.

Hey, Destructionator XV. I was just wondering, is the Lord going to Corellia too, or will he remain behind to run the empire?

STGOD - Current Geopolitical Situation
Alright, here's the latest update of who's allying with whom. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
(1) The Empire and the Borg are still official allies.
(2) The Empire and the Goa'ulds are no longer allies. Oficially, their diplomatic relationship is neutral. However, there are already certain diplomatic tension between them; the first is Ra's infiltration on Coruscant, and the second is when Darth Kreshna went postal aboard Ra's mothership.
I'm still not sure about the latter incident, though. Would it be publicly opened, or would both parties (Ra and Darth Kreshna's Imperial faction) keep it secret for their own interests?
(3) I guess the Borg and the Goa'ulds are still alllies, and don't forget Lord Walper has lent some cubes to Ra.
(4) However, the A'millans and the Trolls are still officially at war against the Borg and the Empire.
(5) And to make things more complicated, the Trolls and (now) the A'millans now ally themselves with the Goa'ulds in their effort to stop the war, together with Captain McKenzie secret renegade movement. They are the army of lights. Who else will join?
(6) IMHO, I love complex political relationship as happen above. Remember Babylon Five? The Centauri and the Narns are enemies but they're also parts of the Army of Lights (although the Centauri did fall under the influence of the Shadows for some time; like the A'millans being influenced by Khardem now).

MX-37 Psychic Nullifier
Manufacturer: Sienar Fleet System / Goa'ulds Aerospace Arms
Type: Psychic-repellent generator
Dimension:
Tone Processing Unit: 1400x520x410 mm
Emmiter Disks: 3 meters (diameter)
Power consumption: 1400 Terawatts (idle), 5200 Terawatts (operational)
Resulted from a joint development between the Galactic Empire and the Goa'ulds, the MX-37 is an electromagnetic generator specifically designed to interfere with certain wavelength commonly known as 'psychic wave'. Although it was primarily developed to counter the Guardians, the operating software can be configured to interfere with any forms, frequency, and phase of waves. Hypothetically, the device can be configured to interfere with Force usage as well, although nobody has written the software needed for such operation. Although costly and power-hungy, the device has been proven valuable in combat against the Guardians, since it can effectively stop their 'paralyzing effects' on the crews. However, prolonged exposure to the device has certain undesirable side effects ranging from severe headache to temporary psychological disorder.
R-32C AEGIS
Manufacturer: Kuat Drive Yard
Type: advanced, automatic detect and track, multi-function, multi-dimensional phased array sensor
Dimension: 900x610x400 mm
Power consumption: (CPU) 900 Terawatts
A powerful Central Processing Unit integrated with a ship's sensor network, the computer-based command and decision element is the core of the AEGIS combat system. This interface makes the combat system capable of simultaneous operation against a multi-mission threat: anti-capital ship, anti-fighter and anti-missile warfare. During the Guardian War, the AEGIS system, is being enhanced by CGT Sensors to detect multiphased targets like Guardian vessels; an AEGIS system can detect and track multiple Guardian ships in their 'invisible' and 'intangible' state. The data is fed to the tractor beam projectors which job is to 'yank' the targets back to the 'real' space.
The AEGIS is built on scalable architecture; more than one AEGIS-enabled cruisers can link their system with each other, increasing the detection range and prediction/tracking effectiveness of the system. The configuration is dubbed Scan-Line Interlink (SLI) and can connect up to 64 AEGIS cruisers in a time.

That's good, KAN. However, you might want to add this regarding the really bad side effects on Goa'uld physiology:
In addition to the moderate side effects on Human physiology, the MX-37 has shown dangerous side effects to Goa'uld physiology. Goa'uld, as well as the Jaffa and Kull Warriors, both of whom rely on an immature Goa'uld symbiote to survive, experience excrutiating pain and bleeding from long-term exposure to the nullifier field. The field causes a breakdown in the Goa'uld nervous system, centered around the neural connections the parasite makes with the host's brain stem. Longterm exposure can easily lead to death for the parasite, and the host as well.
The psychotronic nullifier however has no known effect on the mysterious species known as the Eldar; their physiology of course defies what we know of medical science. Nonetheless, the use of the nullifier has been restricted by the forces of System Lords Ra and Baal, while the Empire uses it as little as possible. However, with both sides facing almost daily attacks by Guardian bioships, the nullifier is the only thing protecting the former allies from a twisted, serene death at the hands of the Guardian menace.
* * *
I'll post something on the Guardian bioship soon, including a pic of what I believe it looks like.

Walper that has got to be the... SARON'S A SPIRIT YOU TWIT, THEY DON'T HAVE FATHERS!
Not to mention you have one of the supreme liars and seducers in fiction falling for the most threadbare crap ever. The thing convinced an entire civilization to declare war on the gods for crap sake, from inside a prison cell!
No, I don't care about "but I have the force!" If you haven't noticed Saron is a bit involved with his own mystic force and should be able to see it coming.

And Sauron sees what coming? My offer for an alliance is an honest one. It was that or be obliterated by Borg forces. One Ring of power or not, he's not exactly going to be stopping orbital bombardment or my character's defined abilities.

Class-I Bioship (Guardian Frigate)
One of the most feared vessels in the universe at present, the Class-I Bioship is the embodiment of the Guardians' wrath upon the celestial plane. Posessing the firepower of an MC-80 cruiser, the Class-I is only 800 meters long, and a fraction the volume of an Imperator-class Star Destroyer.
On top of their amazing firepower, Guardian bioships can also phase in and out of normal space-time, allowing them to appear in another location instantaneously. The interphase drive gives them a tactical and strategic advantage over every known power, but it is limited to maximum radius per jump. The drive system's advantage was negated somewhat by the Imperials, as the newer Imperator and Allegiance-class star destroyers, equipped with the AEGIS system, can detect the interphase sequence mere nanoseconds before the jump. This allows Imperial crews to lock tractor beams and trap the vessels under a fiery bombardment.
As if the frigates, with their powerful biolaser weaponry and interphase devices, weren't deadly enough, they also carry another trick, the psychotronic "song". This psychic message enters the minds of a ship's crew, soothing and relaxing the victims into a trance-like state. This "song", by rendering the crews useless, allows Guardian attackers to eradicate entire fleets with impunity. Fortunately, a counter was made to this song, developed during a brief alliance between the Supreme System Lord Ra and the Empire.
A living ship, the Class-I Frigate is a complete mystery to Imperial, A'millian, Troll, and Goa'uld scientists. It is a physically impossible design, as it packs catastrophic firepower, radical FTL speed, and an interphasic device, all in a small, organic package that is completely unmanned and has no discernable power source. What baffles the scientists further is the organic nature of the bioships; under normal scientific laws such a vessel would be extremely frail, and its crustacean-like exoskeleton would prove useless next to trinium and durasteel armor. However, these ships have shown an ability to withstand immense damage even after shield failure.
However, to the Eldar, the abilities of the Guardian frigate are obvious; the power of a corrupted Maiar holds terrible power, and manifested in the form of a ship these beings can obtain space superiority over the best of any of the mortals' fleets.
* * *
I know this thing looks kinda like an S8472 ship, but this is just a rough design. KAN, if I fucked something up in the specs, please feel free to tell me.
Now, I'm also coming up with designs for the Guardian Battleship and Planet Killer, but I'm also right in the middle of a little project, so the designs may not show up for some time.

That would be great, if that's what you showed instead of the "Melkor killed your pappy, come work for me!" "Okay!" Crap. And Sauron sees what coming? My offer for an alliance is an honest one. It was that or be obliterated by Borg forces. One Ring of power or not, he's not exactly going to be stopping orbital bombardment or my character's defined abilities.

Character: Sir Nitram Tahalshia, Last Survivor Of Netheril.
Possessions: One (1) straw hat, one (1) blue robe, one (1) unenchanted knife.
Power: All twelve levels of magic, including Avatar, Meteor, Hadoken, Ice-9, Supernova, Forge Demiplane. Top-shelf abilities require aborption of local mystical power from background; the Force will be sufficient, though it'll certainly take alot of strain by the time I'm done.

Not a chance in hell. We are going to use the Guardians to do the most of the fighting. A'millian warships and warriors will not be thrown away in a futile rush against Imperial hardware.(3) Would Lord Adam approve the A'millan involvement in Khardem's offensive? Although I imagine General Shep would be more than happy to attack the Empire.
My ships have two things left to do: protect our own territory and engage the Borg. And we will do just that.
And SirNitram, how do you intend to travel across galaxies and engage empires without at least a starship? Will you just use the level 5 spell WARP to get around and the level 8 NUKE to face off against warships?

I have transcended the needs of a starship. I need simply lift myself off the ground and between the stars. And really, why face off with a starship I can teleport aboard and completely eviscerate from within?Destructionator XV wrote:And SirNitram, how do you intend to travel across galaxies and engage empires without at least a starship? This guy is the ultimate in over-the-top magic. A starship would be a flying throne, nothing more.

A little bit nitpick, but "phase in" and "phase out" means a Guardian vessel can disappear and re-appear again somewhere else by pulling itself "out of phase". Currently, only the AEGIS can detect and track a Guardian vessel in such state.Ra wrote: On top of its amazing firepower, Guardian bioships can "phase" in and out of normal space-time, rendering them immune to all damage, save that from tractor beams. As a result, phasing attacks have become quite rare in battles with the Borg and Imperials.
our previous STGOD post wrote:As the fiery aura reaches the dark vessels, their song is abruptly ceased. Their victims are suddenly awake. Captain McKenzie is among the first who realizes this; as he shakes off the tempting tranquility, he barks his order, "all gunnery officers, target those newcomers NOW!"
The Star Destroyer is firing its mighty turbolasers to one of the dark vessel. The strange vessel writhes, as if it is actually alive. The ship is crumbling, then disappear.....
Only to re-appear somewhere else. Although being depleted of their "song", the dark vessel still proves a formidable opponent, as it starts firing on the Castrator. This time. the Star Destroyer retaliates. However, aboard the Avenger II Captain McKenzie quickly learns, "every tractor beams, lock on the dark ship!"

Meh, I got it kind of confused by the HW2 Progenitor destroyer, which could phase away and return fully healed. Anyway, fixed.
BTW, I love that Allegiance-class Star Destroyer. Not only is it more elegant than the old ISD, it's also a pure warship, without all the hangars. You should make more use of those, maybe even have one working for McKenzie's renegades.

Yup. ISD seems to be more like a 'coast guard' ship; a light, self-sufficient, multipurpose destroyer designed to handle the likes of smuggler ships, pirates, and rebels.
Allegiance-Class, on the other hand, is a more specialized, dedicated fleet destroyer. Designed to work with larger cruisers and battleships in full scale engagement.
By the way, since the Guardians were Maiars (Eldars? I'm not very knowledgeable about Tolkien's terminology), how to converger the plot with Walpie? Probably Sauron has been keeping a deep secret about the Phoenix Entity? Moreover, probably the true reason of the Melkor war is because of the Phoenix? (although it was a deep, dark secret almost nobody knows)
@Robert: by the way, the TESB homage is nice, but I wish you would have written it like this: :P
Lord Walper shook his head. "If you only knew the power of the Force and Dark Side. Melkor never told you what happened to your father."
Sauron was taken aback. How could this creature know of Melkor, or his father? "My father...died at the hands of his enemies."
"No." Robert replied. "I AM your father."
Sauron said nothing, his helmet betraying no expression. But inside he was tormented and unnerved. Such knowledge of the past he had suppressed and forgotten...yet this cybernetic creature forced him to face it.
"No..." Sauron hissed. "No. That's not true. That's impossible!"
Walper continued. "Search your feelings, you know it to be true!"
Sauron tried to reach out with his feelings, his mystical senses, and suddenly realized in horror. "And Gandalf too?" He wisphered the words.
"Yes", Lord Walper nodded in confirmation, "I fathered him as well. And do you remember that annoying midget Gimli? I am his father too. And Saruman's, and Elrond's, and Frodo's. And those Uruk-Hai? Yes, that urban legend about crossbreeding Man and Orcs is actually true because I am their father. All of them. It was a very tiring experience, but rewarding. And do you remember that Spider Queen Shelob? Yes, I am her father too. Well, it's kinda hard to explain but it involved some sort of bizzare copulation between man and spider. Here, take the beer, son. Maybe we can sit down together while I tell you about those kinky things between me and her mom....."
Few days later, Sauron joined the Fellowship in his desperate quest to seek redemption.

Uh, so Walper got it on with Ungoliant?!And do you remember that spider queen Shelob? Yes, I am her father too.
Homeworld 2, the computer game. The Progenitors' destroyer was able to escape with an interphase generator when the Hiigarans damaged it. The ship would reappear moments later, good as new.KAN wrote:HW2?
Maiar. Anyway, that's a great idea. The Dark Lord may have some information. Of course, someone like Walper or Ra would have to ask, he would likely start a fight with Galadriel or Amy Lee.By the way, since the Guardians were Maiars (Eldars? I'm not very knowledgeable about Tolkien's terminology), how to converger the plot with Walpie? Probably Sauron has been keeping a deep secret about the Phoenix Entity? As for the wars of the Elder Days, their purpose was crystal clear; Morgoth (Melkor) was jealous of the other Valar, and hated the Firstborn (Elves). So, he fought them for thousands of years. A Phoenix connection wouldn't fit there, and conflict with the events of The Silmarillion.

I suppose it was before Melkor gave her a handjob. Such interesting stuff I've found on wiki....Ra wrote:Uh, so Walper got it on with Ungoliant?!And do you remember that spider queen Shelob? Yes, I am her father too.
With both hands, huh? So his finger was not sufficient? ;)Wikipedia wrote: Ungoliant aided Melkor in his attack on the Two Trees of Valinor; she drained the Trees of their sap and poisoned them after Melkor wounded them, and she drained dry the Wells of Varda, so that nothing remained of the Light that was before Sun or Moon, except in the Silmarils of Fëanor. She and Melkor fled to Middle-earth to escape justice at the hands of the Valar.
Melkor had promised to reward her, "Yea, with both hands"
