God I miss Exo sqaud.

Okay my pitch for good guys and bad guys.

Good Guys!

The Humanity League: A alliance of human and transhuman powers dominated by 3 powers. Memebers can donate military units, ships or cash. It's somewhat like the League Athens founded only without a single ruler. Each power is more or less a sovergen power but bound to follow the defense policy of the League as a whole, that is to say they cannot make a seperate peace or go to war on fellow league members.

Bad Guys

The Asseverate: An empire made up of countless alien and human races. Ruled by a transhuman race that sees itself as a race of supermen. They look like greek statues of the idealized human body. They are prettier, stronger, faster and smarter. In order to end war, stravation, poverty, oppression and unnecessary pain, they are going to conqear all who live. To be fair, if you're ruled by them, there will be no homeless, no stravation and no lack of medical care. Your life is comfortable. They don't rape or murder you for fun, you're not a peice of property. But you will do what you are told.

In order to spare their subjects the pain and suffering of battle, they created a new race of solders. 10ft tall, tough, powerful, fearless the Jotan, named after gaints of Norse myth, follow their masters who led from the front.

I will get to work on these, and the alien races.

I also propose that there be aliens among the good guys as well.

Might not be a bad idea, but it would be difficult for non humans to be part of the Humanity League.

Also the Asseverate wouldn't be using aliens in combat, goes against idealogly stated above.

They created a race of super-soldiers. The biological makeup and how they interact with eachother would be what I work on.

Additionally, there is nothing wrong with the Humanity League, even if we go with that as currently stated, having non-human allies

Take it a step further. This is the first time the nonhumans have been in Humanity League forces, so they're looking to prove themselves.

Juicy subplot there.

That will work.

Que Avian leader of a fighter squadron voiced by George Takei. Or better yet, an Alien ship captain

Sounds like a plan. Right now I only have Grace Park on the fighter side of things.

Going with the non-cg nature, we'll have to have something that can be done with OT Star Wars suits and such.

To hit on our overall structure here, I'm thinking RotJ. We have two primary action points (in RotJ we had Endor and Luke), one slightly lesser but still big one (Lando on the Falcon), and one supplemental one (Ackbar in Home One).

So we've got our grunts out and about for one major point, our aerospace squad for the second major point, I'm figuring we do quick cuts with our admiral for the supplemental. Do we want to have another action point in here, or is that sufficient?

Mmm, new thought. We have a SAR scene with our newbie aliens going in to rescue a downed pilot, which brings in our 'proving themselves' subplot. That could be the slightly lesser but still important action point.

Yes, muppets are fine, as was written in the grand prophecy.

Though to be honest George Takai being the human squadron commander and Grace Park being his niece or something would be cool. Just putting that out there.

Transhuman race: Dancers.

Don't know who they'd side with, really.

Basically, Dancers are heavily modified humans.. Possibly the most heavily modified in known space, because they exist in the harshest of conditions, hard vacuum. Their lungs are incredibly efficient, their livers contain an 'air sac' to hold up to an hour's worth of air, and nicitating membranes and specially designed muscles allow their body to seal up when they step out. Unfortunately, these mods mean that normal planets are basically death for them; full G would cripple them, and their lungs are so efficient they're dangerously vunerable to any kind of impurities.

They got their name for their sheer grace; a Dancer in flight outside a space station is a ballet of it's own, and of course, they have their own, widely attended, dance halls for performances. They're probably a remnant from an early period of space expansion, as artificial gravity and better suits and would render them obselete.
Half-Damned, All Hero.

By the way, I vote we go with an "R rating" for these stories. My personal opinion being that while there are alot of good PG-13 and such sci-fi movies, making it a virtual requirement has turned alot of the genre into a tasteless mash.

Damn the censors! Nudity and Violence ahead!

Music wise, let me toss out the Instruments of Destruction song as a possible use.

Why no Samuel L Jackson?

And as for Transhumans are we talking Culture level Transhumans here? Where exactly are they falling?

And as I mentioned in chat... The bad guys remind me a bit of the Robotech Masters/Zentraedi from Robotech. Ah well, sure it's just my imagination...

Samuel L. Jackson much for the same reason as Bruce Willis, very high profile. A good suggestion though, I think we should see him in movie three. I've already slated Sir Ian as the Fleet Admiral in movie three. ;)

And wait, we have a chat again? Or is it still the flash thing?

As far as the Dancers, I like it. I suspect they would fall with the Asserevate, with perhaps a few pockets in the Alliance, providing crucial bits of intel.

by Chat I meant AIM. I was discussing it with Frigid there...

"I'm tired of these motherfucking Asserevates on my motherfucking ship!"

Grizzled warvet Marine who leads a group of plucky young recruits in a ship to ship defense across the battle, using small manuverable specialized transports to start boarding actions against the enemy.

As for specialized Jotan or others in the Asserevates, if we're going bio-mechanical manipulation here, wouldn't the logical one be creating a breed that could interface with their machines? Neural jack link or something similar? Maybe make them a specialized group or something

There is always a chat..the flash thing (well, flash until I get home..I have updates to do on there...)

I would nominate Patrick Stewart a position in the Humanity League\, I'll give more thoughts and details later.
