#1 Musings on the possibility of a Warhammer RP

Post by Feil »

I don't have the sourcebooks or the extensive knowledge it would take to run one of these things, but I've a mind to try to get into the universe.

Anyone share a desire to get one going?

Do you mean Warhammer Fantasy or 40K?
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Didn't the last one die for lack of participation? Or was that SDnet?

Yes, it did. That's pretty much how all RP games die on the net.

Fantasy. As I understand there are several 40k ones already underway.

No live ones at the moment, but I'm up for Fantasy.

So what books are going to be needed to run this campaign?

If we go all game mechanicky, the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay books. Really only the main book.

Off hand I have the core book and the 2nd ed old world armoury. Given a few hours I can obtain the Realms of Chaos, Doomstones campaign and Enemy Within campaign as well as a bunch of the other supplements and scenerio books including the Companion book.

Everyone sing out if you're interested. Or have questions.

Obviously I am interested.

Questions:
-Are you offering to GM this thing?
-If this happens, will we do it with single/small groups of characters, or giant armies of doom?
