Shellshock ran at his full speed towards the downed Decepticon, though he was still quickly outsped by the smaller Autobot. "Bah! You kids and your always insisting on racing about everything! Slow down." Shellshock began grumbling to himself as he kept running towards the plum of smoke.

It would be a tossup on whether wheels or feet would be better rushing up the mountainside, but the close trees made Crimson keep to her Alt-Form. The rough terrain kept her from full speed, but she still was making very good time.

"Coming up on the ridgetop, ShellShock," she said over the comm, once again muting her engine noise. "Soo, do you think he bellyflopped or managed to transform and land?"

Deathstrike's secondary systems kicked in and attempted to compensate for the damage. That was pretty hard as they had also taken a beating. The Decepticon managed to get to his knees and then shakily to he feet.

Shellshock looked out through his sensors at the crater. "If I had to guess it'd be a little from column a and a little from column b."

Shellshock started a bit as he picked up slight bits of movement. "Be careful there Crimson, big grusome and ugly might still be mobile enough to put a blast through you."

Crimson transformed, her optics picking up the movement and enhancing. "You hit him pretty good, Shellshock." she replied calmly, starting to pick her way closer. "Cover me, please, since you're not that good up close?"

Shellshock came to a stop maybe 50 yards behind Crimson, checking his energy levels he decided it would be best to switch to physical rounds. There was a soft whirring noise and a click that was the telltale sign of a loaded cannon shell.

"When you're as good as I am at distance, you don't need to be good up close." The autobot said with a grin as he pointed the cannon down at his target.

"Thats good," Crimson said absently, pausing for a moment in her descent as she concentrated. Internal wires rerouted temporarily, and a small portion of her Energon reserves was redirected into her hand. The same technology that created energon cubes created a small globe to hold the energy, binding and concentrating it into a small explosive.

Finished, she pulled her laser pistol and attached the globe to one end. "The other reason to stay up there?" she warned him over the comm. "This will put everyone in range into temporary stasis lock even if they're on their feet and fighting. DeathStrike's neither at the moment."

Deathstrike took a step, hesitated, and then took another. Systems were coming back online, not quickly and assuredly not quickly enough to allow him to escape. The Autobots would be here shortly and that would be the end of him. He could nope hope to prevail against them.

So be it. He would at least die in battle, as suited a warrior. The pathetic existence as a scavenger was worse than death, only the hope of restoration had made that hell bearable. His optic sensors picked up Crimson.

"I left Megatron's war, but that war is still going to consume me. Do you appreciate the irony of that Autobot? I chose to survive instead of dying in a pointless war and instead I received degradation and then death from the same war. Do you find that funny Autobot? I do."

Shellshock broadened his scanning range, just in case another decepticon felt like falling out of the sky on top of them. But for now Shellshock kept most of his attention on the Decepticon and Crimson. When Deathstrike spoke, Shellshock recognized the tone of voice, even down to the words used. "Be careful Crimson. That's the talk of a man who thinks he's already dead and is quite willing to take everyone with him."

"Which of you wishes to be first," said Deathstrike as he took another step. "Who wishes to be Megatron's executioner?"

"Thanks for the warning," Crimson subvocalized to the comm, holding her pistol and the swirling ball of plasma ready as she moved closer to Deathstrike.

"Yes... that is ironic, Deathstrike," she answered calmly as she moved. "As ironic as flying a damaged ship for several vorn to gather Energon for use on Cybertron... and then having to dump the entire load when one of Shockwave's minions damaged the hold. There was enough there to power Crystal City for months ... lost because I was unable to give the proper codes to land."

She paused at the end of the crater, half the size of the Decepticon before her. "Personally, I'd rather not execute anyone...."

"Unless Prime's got a place in his forces for a former soldier of Megatron, there is nothing else left to do but see how many of you I take with me before I fall," said Deathstrike. "If you are feeling squeamish Autobot, I suggest you leave."

Shellshock looked at the decepticon from where he was kneeling behind the ridge. "Wouldn't be the first time he's done it."

Deep down, Shellshock wanted to put an end to this, but cooler circuits prevailed. They could gain a powerful ally here, assuming it wasn't all a trap.

Ok.. that was news to her. Crimson lowered her pistol, pointing it to the ground. "What was that, ShellShock?"

Deathstrike hadn't seriously meant the offer. To join the Autobots was unthinkable. Or was it? He had always respected Prime and Ultra Magnus, he wasn't like them but he could serve under them without disgrace. It was better than wandering the stars alone, slowly falling further and further from glory. He could be great again, instead of the walking corpse of what had once been Deathstrike.

"Are you serious Autobot?"

Shellshock stood up. Damn he wished Overload was here, or Jazz, or especially Optimus. They were much better at this than him. "Other Decepticons who have turned against Megatron have found refuge with the Autobots. Prime's a good man, he wouldn't turn you away. The war won't end if you join us, it'll be worse most likely. But you'll have people watching your back."

Overload was scouring the icy landscape for signs of the Decepticon, but his radio worked well enough. "Are you young things telling me you don't know that folks have changed sides before? Was I ever so silly, I wonder..."

"See... this is what I miss being out in deep space for so long," Crimson said, shaking her head, then looked over to Deathstrike. "Looks like we've both learned something, then..."

She tried to ignore Overload's geezer act coming over Autobot channels.

The words "get me a link to Ultra Magnus or Optimus first," almost left his mouth. Almost. He was in no position to make such demands.

His left arm rose and crossed his chest, detaching the x-ray cannon from his arm. He placed it on the ground. "I surrender."

Wideload walked out of his hiding spot, the laser pistols disappearing from his hands into their respective holster points.

And the others had left the two russian speaking Autobots with Hornet.

Wideload first, then Gridlock, looked down at Hornet, then Gridlock knelt down to the little bot. "Is so teeny...is like petrorabbit...only without big teeth" Gridlock said

"Можем мы держать его? Я обещаю дать ему водочку и погулять он."

Gridlock looked at Widelock, and would have blinked if he could have, then looked back to Hornet, "Nyet,....is teeny bot. Optimus sends him to tend security, we treat him like Warrior. Come teeny bot, I am Gridlock, you come drink Vodka with us eh? Nothing like good drink after battle."

Shellshock stepped over the ridge, lowering his gun, though it was still loaded. This wasn't the first time a Decepticon had surrendered to him, and none of those times had the decepticon actually been serious. As such the giant autobot kept his guard up while keeping from being overtly threatening.

Shellshock reached down and carefully picked up Deathstrike's weapon, holding it in one hand. "Alright, we'll get you back to the base and get you fixed up."

Crimson backed away from the two larger 'bots, carefully removing the grenade from the tip of her pistol. "You have no idea how happy I am not to use this...," she sighed. She held the ball to her chest, and slowly it deminished, being carefully reabsorbed into her batteries.

She wondered if she should tell DeathStrike now or later that all it would have done is put him in Stasis....

Deathstrike followed the Autobots, giving them no problems. He had made his choice. Now he had to see if it had been a good one.

With Shellshock following watchfully behind, Crimson fell in step beside Deathstrike. It was the least she could do to give him a little more dignity. "Let me tell everyone we're coming in," she said politely, before subvocalizing to all Autobots.

"Gentlemen, DeathStrike has surrendered, and would like to discuss amnesty. Gridlock, is there an empty Repair Chamber he may use?"

She waited for the answers (and the questions), looking up at Deathstrike wryly. "Sometimes I wish I'd been built on a bigger chassis... I feel like a toy sometimes..."

"Laserbeak and Ravage are smaller than you and are two of Megatron's most effective warriors," said Deathstrike. "If they are still live," he added.
