Crimson's head jerked up at the distress call. "Slag... the copter's got someone pinned..... or worse," she added as the call shut off.
Then Hornet tried to be helpful again. "Negative, Hornet. Can you spot Overload and Stryke? Are they close by the position?"

Hornet quickly scanned his radar for Overload and Stryke's signals, not that Overload wasn't clearly visible from this height anyhow.
"Um... Overload's about three miles south of him I think. He's on the other side of that big ridge north of you! Stryke is around four miles to the west, straight across towards that ruined building."
Hornet continued to fly in a lazy circle, and was so concentrated on his task of directing the others that he didn't notice he was starting to lose altitude...

"You might want to tell the little one to gain some altitude," said Deathstrike.

Shellshock heard the incoming transmission. "Aw crap..." The giant bot looked over at the 'teenybot'. "Hornet. Get a little closer, recon. Now, you see anything dangerous you run." Shellshock looked over at Crimson, the look of 'I really didn't want to to that' crossing his face for a second.
"I can't follow at any reasonable speed, I'll have to stay here. Can you go? They might need the energon."

Crimson nodded to Shellshock then looked up to DeathStrike in surprise. "umm... Thanks, I will. I'd never have noticed."
She turned away, shifting down into her Alt-form and roared off towards Stryke's. "Hornet, Deathstrike suggests gaining some altitude before you recon. Give Stryke, Overload, and I details of what you see."
She did not wait to see what the TeenyBot thought of the Decepticon jet reminding him to gain altitude.

Hornet could have shouted for joy. He quite nearly did in fact. When he replied on the radio his voice was as exuberant as could be. So happy was he that he barely even registered that anyone was telling him to gain altitude, let alone who it was.
"Roger!!!" he chirped and blasted his afterburners at maximum speed, taking off as fast as he could towards the site of the encounter. He would have broken the sound barrier had he not arrived before he could gain enough speed, levelling off at a thousand feet flying above the location in question.
"I can... I can see Swiftshot!" said Hornet into the radio. "He's hurt! He needs help! There's..." he hesitated, puzzled for a moment. "... there's nobody else here." That was odd, even to Hornet. Where had the helicopter gone? Wouldn't he have seen it on radar if it had flown away. "I don't... I don't see any Decepticons... I mean any OTHER Decepticons...."
"Should I land?" he asked, not knowing how bad an idea that would be.

Stryke replied quickly. "Hornet, keep an orbit at angels 1. Keep us informed. Overload, move in to Swiftshot. I'll keep watch."

"Stay where you are, Hornet, get a bit higher. Swiftshot, if you read, this is Overload. I'm coming in. If the flyer shows up again, I'll personally take him apart." The railwheels picked up speed.
But there were no tracks.

"Okay..." said Hornet, levelling off at a thousand feet as ordered. "Hurry though, he looks like he's badly hurt!" Hornet spun in a tight circle overhead. The military term "angels 1" was fortunately one he knew, the military interceptor terms being one of the first things the Aerialbots had taught to him.
"Swiftshot? Can you hear me?" he asked via radio and microwave transmission.

Ice continued to lay there, prone. Not even a finger joint twitched. He might be dead for all appearances except that he was still broadcasting an autobot signal out for all to see.
He might have replied to the comms had he recieved them, but at the moment his ability to communicate outside of face to face was restricted due to him having shot it.

"This is Crimson, I'm coming in to join you. Stryke, do you want me with you or with Overload."
Short, sweet, and to the point... but where were the Decepticons? One copter, strafing and running, and now a firefight out here? Did the copter decide a lone Autobot was an easier target?

Hornet was begining to grow more and more worried. "He's not answering!" he said frantically to the others. "Hurry! I think he's really badly hurt!"

Stryke answered. "Keep your alt form and stay behind me. As soon, as Overload makes contact, I'll transform and we'll roll in together."

A slight course change, made with far more grace than Overload's. "Understood, Stryke. Coming up on your position now. And Hornet, keep your nose up and watch for the Copter in case it comes back. We'll handle Swiftshot."

"Roger," said Hornet. "But I don't see anything for twenty miles on Radar... it looks like the copter must've left!"

Shellshock looked over at Deathstrike. "Or could have a cloak. Keep on your guard people." Shellshock turned to Gridlock. "There any other Autobots out there that you know of that we should warn about this?"

Crimson roared to the top of the hillock and transformed to stand beside Stryke. "Any sign of movement? Could the 'Cons be transformed and hiding?"

Stryke shook his head. "No sign of the 'con. It's like he wasn't even here. Overload should be reaching the 'Bot by now. Though I'm sure that there weren't to be any other 'bots around here."

"I thought the briefing said only us and the two on site myself...," Crimson replied. "Of course, that was before Hornet showed up... IronHide and WheelJack will not be happy."

"People get stranded and lost all the time, Crimson." Overload was moving at a decent clip towards the shed. It was, in the end, an obstacle. Inside, there was a wounded Autobot. While he might be confused by the lack of tire or tread tracks, it was entirely possible he was dealing with an Autobot flyer.
Still, a shack wasn't going to stop Overload from saving a comrade in arms. This caused Sureshot to get the terrifying introduction of a locomotive, not on tracks and bearing no signs of an Autobot symbol, plowing straight through the wall and grinding to a halt close enough to tow the Autobot away, once he surveyed the damage.

Stryke grunted. "Yeah, kid's a pain, but it's nice to have an airborne spotter." He kept looking around for a sign of the 'cons.

They were far enough away that it took a moment for the sound of the crash to reach them.
Crimson spoke first. "........ Overload? Did you have a break problem?"

Still orbitting above the chaos on the ground, Hornet spotted Overload as he approached the fallen Autobot's position a little too late to shout a warning.
"Overload! Watch out for that...."
*CRASH*
"... building."

Ice heard the rumbling sound of a large object moving with some speed towards him. Normally a fight or flight response would be called for here. Fire or flee. He did neither.
He continued to lay there unmoving until the giant train decided to redecorate the building. As the autobot plowed through the wall towards him, Ice moved to an extent.
He made a febel effort to grab for his weapon. His movements were weak, slow. He continued to stare forward at the looming train, fear in his optics as his doom was reflected in them. Even though it was an elaborate act, Ice for a moment almost believed that he would be crushed by this behemoth. He mused to himeslf that it would be his luck. Disguised as an autobot, killed by another autobot. His readings of this world's history had given countless examples of horrible friendly fire incidents. He wondered if he was about to be another one.
