That, and he needed a more serious test of loyalty; she had clearly broadcast her intention to interfere in his mission to rescue the Abbot when she responded to his warning with attack
Dude... Gar's seriously fucked up if he needs a 'test of loyalty' from her, or thinks her antics means she's not going to help the abbott.

She's young, she's chaotic, but she is at heart a Good Dragon. In fact, her 'revenge' might take a couple YEARS to show up.

He's borderline paranoid; it's part of what keeps him alive. He said she'd best not interfere with his attempts to rescue the abbot, and she responded by shoving him in a mud hole. She attacked Astinius the night before over an exchange of words. Her behavior is not exactly inspiring confidence.

I, out of character, know it's unreasonable, and he'll figure it out later given time to mull it over. Right now he's angry, close to freaking out after having faced down a pair of some of the most powerful fiends of the Hells themselves that morning, and being wet and mud-splattered isn't helping any of that at all. Assuming nothing else goes wrong before he has time to calm himself, nothing will come of it.

The answer was "use the appropriate magic"
I clarified what was "Appropriate"

Anyone care to explain to the Archmage why giving a Wand to a Dragon is a bad idea?

He probably wont get it back, at minimum. She may horde it and never use the charges...

Can you not think of pranks involving that?

I meant how she would have to balance on 3 legs to use it in her hand. When your hands are also your weapons, that's a bad thing.

Unless she could use a cantrip or Telekinesis to hold it ....

You have a wing claw. It is a wing thumb and palm, but still a wing claw

Conceeded. I was thinking the Brass dragon.
Odd... the Gold dragon also doesn't have a Wing Claw.

It may not work. He could have a non-detection spell up. It is best that we not reveal too much. namely that we know they can infiltrate everything

I'm fully aware of that, and so's Gaheris; he did cast undetectable alignment on himself that very morning, after all. But the ability's free; it was worth a shot.

You have to add a couple more sniffs followed by an "Oh gods!" at the end

"Here" as in "here in the council," or just somewhere in the abbey?
