Transformers: Steel Reign

[Agent Fisher]

"Understood sir. And no sir, nothing else." Stryke said before turning and walking out of the C&C. He looked around and spotted where the other 'Bots where. He transformed and rolled towards one end of the defense grid, hoping to get more of it set up before the enemy arrived.

Gridlock was walking away from the Reactors when he saw Crimson, his optics gleamed for a moment, before he greeted the tiny Fembot. "Ah Crimson, you come work oilrig dah? Is no worries, am already taken care of. Will blow on Prime's orders."

"Mind if I check it over, Gridlock? You may be too busy to set it off..." Crimson said simply. In battle, one never knew. "I'm hoping you set up a way to stop if it goes off prematurely... Hate to win the battle just to lost the oil."

[Dark Silver]

"Is no worries, is voice activated to signal from Optimus Prime, Ironhide or Bluesteak. Is piece of Russian ingenuity. no chance of going off early, you insult honor as engineer if you think I would do shoddy work!"

Gridlock honestly seemed upset Crimson would suggest his work was anything but perfect, but he capitulated...slightly, "I have Wideload doublecheck work. Worry not little fembot, you is only needing to be pouring vodka and producing itty bitty protoforms now. Come, much work to do with defense grid."

With that, Gridlock placed a hand on Crimson's shoulder, having to bend at the waist just slightly, and lead her away from the rig.

"Gridlock, this base that you've built shows you never do shoddy work," Crimson answered with a grin. It was true, for a base built so quickly it was solid work.

She let the larger bot escort her to the Western Defenses. She was also letting the 'make protoforms' comment go by. She may not know Russian Humans, but she did know of Organics that thought their females had only one use. "You may want to go over the sections you had the false Swiftshot working on. No telling what he may have done to the base...."

It was an equal insult, to her mind... the engineer's pride should be stung at the thought of a Decepticon sabotaging his base. She herself slipped out from under Gridlock's hand. "Here's Stryke... I need to check in with him."

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke looked up when he heard the other 'bots walk by. He waved to Crim as she walked towards him. "Hey Crim."

[LadyTevar]

"Hey Stryke," she answered. He was the only one who called her 'Crim'. Hell, even her old friends on Cybertron, so long ago, never called her 'Crim'. "The rig's set to blow, so I guess we get to finish working on the Base."

She looked him over, concerned. "You going to be okay?"

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke shrugged. "Yeah. I asked Prime if he would get rid of Deathstrike and he told me no, so I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it." He said, as he tried to set up an weapon emplacement. "So, how is our small friend doing?"

[Dark Silver]

Gridlock watched Crimson leave, muttering something under his breath in Russian, as he then went back to putting the final touches on the Western Defensive grid.

Other Autobots were already working on other areas, and he would have to go back over their work, just hoping that the Decepticons gave them sometime before deciding to go on a killing spree....

Crimson moved forward and gave Stryke a hand with the emplacement. She was smaller, yes, but still strong enough to help out. "Hornet's overjoyed, he's not only being allowed to fly, he's 'getting to fly with JetFire!' " she said, adding a touch of the Teenybot's hyperness to the last part.

"But you're changing the subject," she said, dropping her voice back to normal, with more than a little concern. "Are you going to be able to deal with it?"

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke laughed but sobered when she brought it back to Deathstrike. "I've got to. Prime offered to transfer me out, but I'm not going to leave you alone with that 'Con." He said. "Could you plug that in?" He said, handing her a power cord.

[LadyTevar]

She took the powercord, looking up at him with an eyebrow raised. "Noble sentiment... but you aren't going to make it easy on yourself or us if you can't get over it, Stryke," she said softly.

She gave him a moment to think that over as she moved to connect the powercord properly. It took about half a breem to get that hooked right. "There... is it working?" she asked as she returned.

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke looked over at her. "I'll bury it. I won't let it interfere overall." He looked at the weapon. "And I have no idea. Got anything we can toss out there for it to shoot?" He asked her.

[LadyTevar]

"The false Swiftshot? See if we can dent that shiny hide of his?" she quipped in return. Nope, no pride stung there at being taken in, not at all. Forget the fact she'd been flirting with him too.

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke laughed. "That'd work for me. Though I thought he was going to be your boyfriend." He said, teasing her. He picked up a rock and hurled it past the turret, hoping it would open fire at it.

[LadyTevar]

"He did have better lines than you," she managed to quip back, as the rock sailed out and hit the ground with a thump.

Her turn to tease. "It does help to have the targetting system engaged when you do that. It's also a bad thing to have that running while we're still working on it."

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke looked over at her. "I have some pretty good lines, I'll have you know." He looked back out at the rock. "And yeah, I knew that." He said, referring to the targetting, though it was obvious he was lying.

[General Havoc]

It took Hornet some time to locate one of his designated companions for the upcoming events. When he finally found Deathstrike however, he quickly ground to a stop, and then walked briskly over to the much larger Decepticon and cleared his throat (sonorolly of course, as he had no real throat to clear).

"Um... Deathstrike?" he asked hesitantly (was this a Decepticon or an Autobot, officially-speaking?), "they... they said I was s'pposed to report to you and Jetfire?"

Hornet smiled nervously, as though trying to give a good impression. He could not tell if he succeeded.

[LadyTevar]

Crimson sniggered a little, walking behind him to move to the next emplacement.. "Of course you did..." she answered with a grin in her voice. She checked out the 'nice lines' again as she passed him by. "Of course, what would I know after a Vorn all alone in space?"

[Cynical Cat]

"Really?" said Deathstrike. "Have you checked with Jetfire yet?"

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke laughed, as they walked to the next weapon. He knelt down next to it and checked it over. "Exactly, Crim. You come back after so long in space, you hit on a 'Con, and a 'Con pretending to be an Autobot. You sure know how to pick 'em, Crim."

[General Havoc]

"Um... no," said Hornet, scuffing his foot a bit as though he were a truant schoolkid. "I... I found you first, and they said that you would be flying with us when the Decepticons got here so..."

[LadyTevar]

If Crimson had been human she'd have blushed. "Thanks.. I think I'll need my ego circuits repaired now..." she said dryly. Of course, he'd not seen her flirting with some of the Autobots in the main base before they headed out. Of course, flirting was mutual. "All you did on the way up here was tell me to stop outrunning you."

[Cynical Cat]

"Yes I will, but that's different from being the air commander," replied Deathstrike. "If that isn't Jetfire, Jetfire will know who he is. So we need to find him. Do you know where he is?"

[Agent Fisher]

Stryke sputtered for a second. "Well, what else could I say to such a lovely ladybot. Besides, you were outrunning me. If I hadn't said anything you would have been here two days before us."

[LadyTevar]

"Not my fault you're slow to hit top speed," she teased, checking to make sure the power was connected and the turrent was wired right. "Overload I can understand. You could have been going faster."
