#1 Stargate SG-16

Post by Hotfoot »

Just a basic concept that I might be willing to run at some point in the future. In the vein of the SG-14/15 games that I run.

Set in my slightly deviated Stargate universe, you would go on adventures on other worlds, battle Goa'uld, Jaffa, Replicators, and other nasty things. This wouldn't start up for a while if it does, but I'm just wondering if there would be any interest.

I've never played in one of your games, and haven't really watched any of the shows (apart from the actual Stargate movie), but from all accounts I know of, it sounds intriguing.

I'll read up on your other games to get a better idea of what might be going into this, but what sort of atmosphere and game are you going for?

I'd be shooting for more RPing than shooting in this one. SG-14 is all about action, action, action. SG-15 (which there are no real logs of outside of Marcao's borderline OCD handwritten notes) had a nice episodic theme to it with a touch of overarching storyline and somewhat regular combat.

This would likely have a larger storyline involved, but there would still be plenty of room for action if people were so inclined. I tend to tailor adventures based on the party makeup.

This would be a no-numbers game, of course, unless people really decided they wanted such things. Just simply decide the few areas your character excels in and/or is horrible at, and we go from there. Possible types of characters, of course, include:

-Archaeologist
-Translator/Diplomat
-Scientist (Numerous types)
-Technician
-Soldier (Numerous types)
-Medic
-Officer

Still kicking, despite constantly trying to convince Major Donovan to storm a Goa'uld mothership. I swear, if I gave him the chance, he'd try to wipe out the Goa'uld with just a single AK-47.

I'm interested, I'll take the medic spot, if that's cool.

Some notes about the altered timeline:

History

By and large, this universe isn’t a major deviation of the standard SG-1 Timeline, but events starting around Season 5 started deviations from the primary timeline. The end result is a galaxy very different in Season 9 from what we know. The following is a rough timeline of the events that differed greatly from the normal SG-1 Timeline.

Season 5:

SG-15 encounters lesser known set of system lords, named after Mesoamerican Gods. Team leader temporarily blends with a Goa’uld who was born of the Tok’ra Queen before her full-scale revolt against the Goa’uld. Known as Queztequotal or “Qâ€
