[quote]WASHINGTON — The helicopter was hovering over a Baghdad checkpoint into the Green Zone, one typically crowded with cars, Iraqi civilians and United States military personnel.

Suddenly, on that May day in 2005, the copter dropped CS gas, a riot-control substance the American military in Iraq can use only under the strictest conditions and with the approval of top military commanders. An armored vehicle on the ground also released the gas, temporarily blinding drivers, passers-by and at least 10 American soldiers operating the checkpoint.

It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Countries have been glassed for less.

Or they should have been.

Why aren't we treating Blackwater like the private army it is, and bring the fuckers all up on charges for their indiscriminate acts?

Oh right...their protected from on high...

I'm not raging. I usually have to be surprised to get into a rage.

I wish I could say I was surprised the mule sucking arrogant bunch of panty wearing coward assholes who rountinly point rifles at Real US Troops knowing that the Real US Troops are under orders not to harm the poor dears of Blackwater did this. I wish I could say that I was surprised that the moronic mercenary cow rapists, known for their beliefs that gunplay is an acceptable way to settle a traffic dispute did this. But I'm not surprised.

I wish I could say that I was surprised at the State Department efforts, a department who seems more interested in serving the needs and desires of foreign states, the more dictatorial and oppressive the better, then that of US citizens, to cover up their new shiny private army. I wish I could be surprised at a department who routinely throws US citizens out of their own nation's embassies for having the gall to ask for their government aide and protection doing this. But I am not.

I am angry, I am disappointed, I am a little upset. But I am not raging.

I am very thankful that the morons in that coptor did not have something stronger then CS (of which your average 2nd year Marine can suck down like it was candy, we get gassed with it regularly). Why am I thankful for that? Because if those asswipes from the backside of a sick and elderly camel had nerve gas, they would have likely used it on us!

And nobody get's "used" to nerve gas.
