I said there was broken equipment, charred mess, and bodies all over the place and its a dark room to boot. You aren't going to be able to find anything but rubble by just standing there and looking.

Just a reminder, but the most infamous hive of necromancers and undead abominations is the pirate islands of Cryx, ruled by the dragon-god Father Toruk. The capital literally glows in the dark because the dragon blight is so strong and his priests lose a point of Con each level after 5th from channeling dragon blight.

Conventional lichdom doesn't exist (thus iron lichs), but yeah they all become undead of one kind or another.
