Anything with mass will draw attention. Higher mass(Which includes things with obscenely high energy content) draws more attention. It operates exactly like an extra sense, he basically feels the soft 'tugs' and his brain interperates it into a three-dimensional map of the area around him. Anything without mass and with low energy content will be unobservable. On planets and other high-mass areas he can't sense all that far; he can see farther.

Now, what about two objects of mass in close proximity, such as a human pressed close against a large rock formation? And what is the low end of readable mass and low energy content? Just trying to establish the upper and lower limits.

There's really no hard and fast I've established, so I'm going to pull out of my ass. :P

A ring or ringbox at full power shows up because of the sheer power, as do reactors. Lower than that and he misses it and has to track by mass.

Masses are discreet close up, say within fifty feet, but as distance increases become solid lumps.

*sigh* I mean the one where Argent is freaking out over Blast detecting nuclear energy, which is difficult since you know there is no nuclear energy. I edited mine so now there's nothing for Argent to react so strongly to.

Indeed. Of course, it means another hyper valuable power ring and a passage through the sand and the strain of doing all that. From Blackheart's perspective, its origins aren't important. It's a delaying tactic that can't stop him.
