(Alright, rev. 3 - energon-coated swords replaced with sharp spears [like Silverbolt had, basically], and replaced Weakness)

Name: Wingslip
Faction: Maximals
Primary Function: Astrogator / Sensor Operator
Secondary Function: Aerial Assault
Alt Mode: Haast's Eagle

Quote: "Hold on - this could get turbulent!"

Bio: Wingslip is an older Maximal, and so isn't as impetuous or hasty as the younger ones might be. Though he has trained diligently in the arts of war, including unarmed melee combat, he vastly prefers to be exploring or flying than getting involved in a fight. He is careful and precise in his planning and in his movements, and it shows in both his quality of work as a sensor operator and ship's astrogator, and with his aim on the battlefield.

Weapons/Abilities:
Despite being a large raptor, his beast form is shockingly maneuverable for his size. Haast's Eagle, as it was later named, was an evolutionary departure from soaring flight toward wing-loading, and agility in the air. Wingslip uses this form's winged dexterity well, always enjoying the art and skill of flying - and it shows.

In his beast mode, his wings and talons both have tremendous strength, and his striking beak can pierce armor. Though he cannot gain high upper-atmospheric flight as other birds might, he is able to perform highly-complex flight maneuvers. His senses are extremely acute, able to extensively scan a target from many kilometers away with a variety of information.

In his robot form, Wingslip is a tall bot, his eagle's senses serving him well as an sensor operator for observing minute details. In addition to his pinion feathers being available as spears sharp enough to cut through armor, he also has a rapid-fire charged particle gun on each forearm, as well as a charged particle heavy rifle available for long-range armor sniping. Both spears and heavy rifle are stored on his back in robot form.

Lastly, thanks to his wings being on his back in robot form, he does not lose the ability to fly in that form.

Weakness:
Energon Inefficient: In his beast form, Wingslip has no troubles - however, his guns in robot form, though powerful, go through energon reserves 50% faster than normal. This issue has since been fixed in younger Maximals' components, but it hasn't concerned Wingslip much until now, as he seldom got into fights.

Edited my weaknesses. Removed the freezing up in combat with pacifism and a tendency towards treating any serious injury, even Predacons.

Edited my character sheet a bit (cleanup of typos), but I also have a question: just for flavor, could I make Firetrack as Wingslip's great-grandfather? It would have no real effect on the game except for a bit of flavor.

...I got the idea from one of the latter second-season episodes of Beast Wars, in which Rattrap offhandedly swears by his great-aunt Arcee.

Name:Howler
Faction: Maximal
Function: Security/Long Range Scout
Alt Mode: Gray Wolf

Quote: "That was cool! What do we get to do next?"

Bio: A young bot, Howler 'grew up' admiring the great heroes of old, of the Autobots and their war stories. That's what Howler wants, to have stories told of him, to be remembered for all time. He joined the Axalon, though he wanted something a bit more glamorous than assisting with security on a science mission. Howler just hoped the trip wouldn't be too boring.

Weapons/Abilities:
1.) Pulse Blaster Rifle: Semiautomatic rifle.

2.) Claws: Claws from his alt form give him a slight edge over some of the other bots in hand to hand, but nothing major.

3.) Long range sensors: While accurate at short range, at long range, the most they can pick up is an energy signature and give a direction.

Weakness: Young, foolish, brash. Often rushes into things without thinking, and most often is trying to impress the older warriors of the Maximals.

Something I just remembered.

To everyone who have picked up long range sensors and things like that. In the show the high concentrations of energon pretty much screwed over long-range sensors and long range comms.

Long-range comms were very adversely affected, yes, I certainly saw that. However, Air Razor and Cheetor both demonstrated long-range sensors as being unaffected by residual energon in the environment.

During the first season? Huh... I could've sworn they had problems with their sensors at the beginning.

Take this as an example, since this is the first one I thought of - I can find others by re-watching, I'm sure.

During the second episode (Beast Wars part 2), as the Maximals and the newly-joined Dinobot are chasing the Predacons, Cheetor does a zoom-and-examine using his sensors on the Predacons up ahead.

That being said though, comms are usually screwed beyond 100 meters.

They had some sensor problems, but they fixed it not long into the first season. Then MEgatron started with his jamming towers in the second season...

Anyway..I gotta make more crew for the Darkside.....

The PC's will all be "active" crew of the Axalon, so none of you were in stasis or in Stasis Pods at the time of the assault. You've hbeen in different parts of the Axalon...not all of you were on the bridge (infact, none of you were...), and you'll be in various states of disrepair because of it.

As soon as I work the new crew of the Darkside to even the sides.....I'll start the game.

Ah, that explains it. So, basically the PC equivalent to Rhinox will be the one making the modifications. Which means Einsimian or my character, unless I'm overlooking something.

I can't wait to see how this will work out...

However, having the PC's being the active crew also makes sense, and allows other players to join in later if they wish, in much the same fashion as the show developed. Awesome.

Indeed. There was the small, thin hope that most of the plot would proceed more or less the same way, as I had hoped for Dinobot and my character to eventually become friends due to sparring together often.

Ah, I see now what you mean - and I'm much happier because of it.

According to the NTFA site, there were a shitload of Maximals and Predacons who never made it onto the show (including Transmetal versions of almost the entire case, plus extras) - are you going to be including any of those, or making up all-new Predacons for us to tra...er, "meet?"

And just in case I hear any whining from those pansies who try to find some semblance of meaning in their pathetic little worm-like lives by calling themselves Predacons, here are the roll call from what Megatron laughably refers to as his "forces."

your listing is that of toys......

Aside from the cast that'll show up after I complete the list, players and potential players should NOT feel bound to the Toy-list.

True, it was from the toys - but it was a bit more elaborate than the other listing. By no means was I implying that we must fill up this roster or anything; they're there to give one a better idea of possibilities. Even among the animals (for Maximals) chosen, or the insects/reptiles chosen (for Predacons), there's a vast untapped natural kingdom to tap for ideas still.

I've come up with the new Crew List of the Darkside...... the new additions have a bio section added, so you can know at least what to expect. As I find apprpriate robot mode forms, I'll show you the pictures.

As of THIS point in time, no further edits are allowed to your character sheets. if I see them being edited without discussing with me, I will kick you out the game.

Period.

Predacons:

Megatron (Tyranosaurus Rex)
Predacon General

Dinobot (velociraptor)
Special Operations

Scorponok (Emperor Scorpion)
Desert Combat / Engineer

Terrorsaur (Pteradactyl)
Aerial Combat

Waspinator (Wasp)
Aerial Combat

Tarantulus (Tarantula)
Intellegence Officer

---------------

ManTerror (Preying Mantis)
Quick Attack Specialist
Image

Bio: Though somewhat ungainly in appearance (in either mode), Manterror is an accomplished and adept fighter, nimbly and amazingly fast. He often trades on his apparent awkwardness to lull opponents into a false sense of security...before tearing them limb from limb. Manterror has been known to strip an opponent to the main strut assembly in a fraction of a second. It's only when goes to work with his mandibles that his real persona comes to the fore, revealing a gleefully maniacal, hyperactive and twisted individual with an abiding love for pain and distress. Thoroughly nasty and irredeemably rotten, Manterror has no virtues or scruples whatsoever.

Weapons / Abilities: Equally at home (in either mode) on the ground or airborne, Manterror has numerous combat options, doing just enough in the minimum amount of time, to wound or disable before picking off his opponent at his leisure. He can also activate internal stealth silencers, thereby masking any sound of his approach. In robot mode, Manterror utilizes devestating ion discs, which don't stop spinning until they've sliced through an enemy's external armor. Manterror can also fire lasers from his optics in robot mode.

Weakness: Manterror can get carried away, so focused on one victim he isn't aware of other (incoming) threats.

---------------

Crazybolt (lizard)
Infantry

A prattling con artist, Crazybolt is always trying - and most often failing - to find ways to advance his own standing in the Predacon hierarchy. His methods range from blackmail to bribery to theft. He is distrusted by most all of his comrades, who generally avoid contact with him due to his suspect reputation. While he is often one of the first warriors sent into a frontline battle situation, he is also one of the first to retreat is a situation becomes to overwhelming.

Weapons / Abilities: The scales on Crazybolt's body absorb solar energy and channel them to his frills. He can then expand his frills and project a blinding flash of light to disorient enemies before attacking them. Special shielding built into his optic sensors protects him from the effects of this weapon. His tail converts into cannon powerful enough to blow a hole in the hull of a warship. His audio receptors are able to detect sound at over a hundred meters away, a tool he often employs in his blackmail schemes.

Weakness: Crazybolt's schemes often makes him a object of retaliation by his fellow Predacons.

---------------

Buzzsaw (Yellowjacket)
Aerial Reconiscance
"Catch your opponent unawares, and his destruction is assured."

Bio: Shrouded in mystery, this Predacon is often spoken of in hushed whispered by friends and foes alike. Few ever see him in the skies, but the value of the intelligence he acquires through his aerial surveillance missions cannot be underestimated. When he attacks from on high, few ever see his missiles until it is too late. However, the truth is that Buzzsaw is a complete coward. He stays at high altitudes wholly to avoid direct contact with the enemy. In those rare instances where he appears on the battleground, it is often behind dozens of other Predacon warriors.

Weapons / Abilities: Utilizing hidden boosters built into his legs, Buzzsaw is capable of escaping planetary orbit. His diamond tipped mandibles can slice through armor plating as if it were tinfoil. His optic sensors can tdetect movement on the ground from a altitude of 20,000 feet. From there, he can also target enemies and fire his Stringer Missiles, which - on impact - send a signal that targets pain receptors cause the target to lose consciousness.

Weaknesses: Flying at high speeds results in severe stress on Buzzsaw's superstructure, causing it to weaken and fracture.

-----------

Iguanus (iguana)
Demolitions
"The shortest path between two Maximals is a heat seeking missile"
Image

Bio: In their quest to topple the Maximal Imperium, the beleaguered Predacons have a near impossible task ahead of them. Some Predacons automatically assume a defeatist attitude towards their present state of affairs. Iguanus is the exact oppisite. He sees himself as a heroic figure in a uphill struggle to free his oppressed brethren. Iguanus serves loyally as a artillery and demolitions expert for Megatron, taking extreme pride in his work. His steadfast belief is that every single Maximal installation he destroys brings the Predacons one step closer to realizing their goals, making it a task he never tires of.

Weapons/Abilities: Iguanus is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge regarding ammunition and explosives. He is a master at devising destructive devices and explosive chemical compounds. In lizard mode, Iguanus can run up to 150mph and his titanium scales protect him from damage. From his frills, he can generate a low-level force shield that can protect him from up to medium level firepower. In robot mode, his primary weapon is a pulsar cannon that stores a variety of projectiles, ranging from grenades, to missiles and charged particle bursts.

Weakness: Certain types of low spec artillery can result in Iguanus' cannon jamming, leaving him relatively defenseless.

-----------

Killer Punch (Styracosaurus)
Espionage
"Being paranoid doesn't mean someone is not out to get you."
Image

Bio: The Autobot Ultra Magnus was really a Decepticon Agent. The Original Galvatron is currently Masterminding the overthrow of the Maximal Imperium and Unicron was just a product of Maximal Propaganda. These are some of the more tame theories that Killer Punch advocates. Paranoid to the point of delusion, Killer Punch believes that around every corner lurks someone out to silence him because he has "proof" of his crackpot theories. Ironically, it is his paranoia that makes Killer Punch so good at his job. He will stop at nothing to obtain intelligence, and is most often successful.

Weapons / Abilities: From reading thousands of stories and conspiracy theories on the Cybertronian Undernet, Killer Punch has learned and developed a vast array of espionage techniques. He is constantly tinkering with new devices to bug rooms and jam transmissions. His beast mode possesses amazing strength and his head-on assault is virtually unstoppable. The frill that covers his neck is extremely resistant to firepower. In robot mode, he has long range antennae that can receive and transmit data to satellites in orbit (should any be there..) He wields a scimitar blade and can fire charged particle beams from his right arm's beast mode head as an offensive weapon.

Weaknesses: Killer Punch's conspiracy mania often taints the data he gives to Megatron, often causing the Predacon General to have to weed out the true information.

-------------------------------

Before we start posting, may I make a suggestion?

Those of us who are Crew of the Axalon (everyone but Mammoth), should be doing -something- during the fight. With hull breaches and a call to jetteson the pods, we could all be doing actual damage control as the battle rages. Those that should have been on the bridge (Archon and Wingslip) were probably second watch, so they're stuck down in the engine room or hallways with the rest of us.

Make sense to you guys?

I know Medidon was probably in whatever portion of the ship where the stasis pods were being kept, he probably played a part in getting them launched what with being the medical officer.
