Urge to burn world, rising.The Maricopa County Attorney's Office indicted an East Valley certified music therapist accused of sexually molesting two autistic children and a cerebral palsy patient.
The Aug. 22 indictment charges Queen Creek resident Corey E. Brown, 30, with four counts of attempted molestation, kidnapping, sexual conduct with a minor and child molestation.
Gilbert Police arrested Corey on Aug. 15, four days after the mother of a 10-year-old autistic girl reported her daughter had been molested.
The mother had attempted to grab a blanket from the room where her daughter was receiving a music therapy lesson when she found the door was locked.
After making her way in the room, she found the girl partially disrobed, according to a police report. The mother then called police and took the girl to a hospital.
An investigation revealed Brown had also molested a 22-year-old man with cerebral palsy and a 10-year-old autistic boy, police said.
Brown worked for Horizon Pediatric Therapy, based in Mesa, and provided music lessons to patients in their homes.
Police interviewed several of Brown's patients, but most said they never witnessed any misconduct or had any complaints to report.
Police reports also indicate he worked at several elementary schools over the years.
