Ok maybe my civilian liberal ass just doesn't fucking get it, but how exactly does McCain being a POW for 5 years make him a famous War Hero? He obviously went through something amazingly difficult and suffered extremely, but I'm not seeing how that turns him from a victim who persevered through very rough times in the service of his country to a War Hero. I guess I just view a War Hero as someone whose actions definitively assisted their country in achieving victory or managed to turn around what would have been a defeat.

Not even gonna touch the utter stupidity of "No one gets war like my family". Congratulations, you have two brothers enlisted and a dad who was a POW. I'm fairly certain many military families would laugh at how small that list is.
