I see my point about Elwyn not having a way of knowing Matthew was making a run for it sailed completely over your head... Unless of course you can tell me one. I'm all ears for this. And no "well I saw this and think this". You put down in posts twice now that Elwyn knows Matthew is leaving.

How?

Your eyes may not give it away, but sometimes, and you have to admit it, you simply know when someone is lying. But you cant prove it, or do much about it.

Also. You freak out the night previous, SERIOUSLY freak out. Then the next morning you calmly grab provisions and go out scouting, something your character doesnt do as far as normal skillsets are concerned, in the woods which you arent familiar with. In a game world which is out to get you.

Yeah, that adds up real well.

Either way, what is going through MY HEAD has no bearing on your in game.

There we go with that instinctual knowledge again. Nevermind that this is the same person who has likely spent the past six MONTHS playing every last one of you, with the exception of Thog, for complete and total saps. Nevermind that I stated in the post he was acting on his "Ottoman" instinct of hiding the truth, which as I stated before played you all for saps.

Yep, he was the only one who seriously freaked out, yep. Certainly don't have a case of one of the other characters actively trying to help an enemy. As for his going out scouting. He said he was going to look for one of the others and get straight answers from them. And I don't suppose it's at all possible that, say, he's just trying to get some air and eat away from you people. Nope, he's leaving and he's got some food? OBVIOUSLY running. Not looking to be alone for a little while, not looking to perhaps even share some with their protectors. The ONLY obvious choice is that he's making a run for it.

Yep, that's why you immediately jumped to "making a run for it" something you still haven't provided any believable evidence for why your character would think that first. Leaving is suicidal, every character should be able to figure that out easily. Hell even Matthew has somewhere deep down in the non-crazy part of his mind. The idea that he's running should be so preposterous it shouldn't be your first thought.

Emphasis on choice. I have multiple options from which to choose. I'll edit the damn post if one fucking line of inner thought is that damn important to you though. Even though it has no real effect on anything.

I would point out though that Justin/Elwyn is a bit nuts sometimes, and probably watches too much horribly formulaic Bad Sci Fi to now know the Rules, one of which is that someone always leaves the safety of the group and subsequently dies alone, screaming, and usually tired.

If all of you can get together and decide what your doing....and by that I mean make your way to the mountain fortress (any other destination will be met with your quick, merciless and offscreen demises and the hands of assorted nasties), you will have a three day trip of pleasentness and no unexpected surprises.

Which means I don't feel like RP'ing out three frigging days of boredom to get to the good stuff. So I suggest discussing what the GROUP does on this trip, in the OOC, coming to a consensus, and then noting it in your postings.

I will be doing a post which will occur approx during day 2 of your trip into the mountains. Completely OOC, and will have nothing to do with the party, but impact events in the future.

of, and Devione, there is room for another player if you wish to join. You only need to find a way to be in the game...

Just out of curiosity, did that cure critical wounds do much of anything? I was leaving that to the GM rather than have it automatically work

GM's Note: There is no Saltpeter on Zion.

It's a unknown element...

um, saltpeter is not an element its a nitrogenous salt easily produced as a biproduct of the digestive systems of several animals.

EDIT: and aluminum is going to be very very hard to get a hold of because it has to be refined from bauxite ore which takes a good bit of chemical processing

I'm quite happy with no saltpeter. I think, however, our dear GM might backtrack hard on whether alum, used by the Greeks and Romans, exists, once he connects the dots.

you intend to make gunpowder or nitro

I know very well what aluminum and saltpeter make, I didn't even need the Anarchist Cookbook to tell me that much.

Starscream did it in a old G1 cartoon when and some seekers were teleported back in time....

As for saltpeter being a unknown element....again, YOUR ON A GAME WORLD!

What, precisely here, takes a dump?

No, no. Gunpowder is saltpeter, ammonia nitrate(Pee), and charcoal.

Alumium is something else...

'Cause I feel safer with something that can melt through an engine block when we're potentially facing infiltrators from other games. For all I know we meet Knives or Sephiroth or Secret Service Agent Horrigan next.

Thermite is better for demolitions than for weapons what would be better would be phosphorous, or the toys we have allready been given.

Let me have my flamey stuff. I know it's not going to be terribly effective unless I'm smart; that is, in fact, why I do it(Because if I'm very smart, it'll be fucking devastating).

I'm really really sorry that I've been rather gone for extended period of times for the last month. But for the next few weeks I will not go missing for 3 or 4 days at a time.
