Since it would seem, from this side of the planet, the situation has settled(Insofar as anything around Israel settles), this is being unstickied.

Actually, as I was to post, not really. Well, doesn't require a sticky. But in brief:
South, Israel is currently faced with a well trained paramilitary group with good supply. Said group, Hamas, is also currently supporting differant groups which are firing small short range missles into Israeli territory. For the past few weeks the IDF has been gearing up for a large scale incursion, going in with small units. So far, well trained enemy that is opposing the IDF for every step.
Factoid: This front proved that the U.S. is puppet controlling Israel, as per Israel moving in and out as per U.S. goverment messages.
Center, Israel is currently supporting the west bank goverment, both politically and military. Military wise, daily incursions as well as massive amounts of military police are the only thing keeping Hamas forces down. The moment attention shifts, this place will become Gaza Mk2, bigger, badder, and alot more dangerous.
A diversion into politics. Israels goverment is also currently facing atleast three crises inside the country, limiting the amount of time focused on foreign affairs.
North, this is the ugly one. Everyone has been keeping up with all the crap, so long story short. Hezbullah and Syria, between them, can blanket the country with short/medium/long range missles. Syria, with it's SAM batteries, can also deny the IAF air control, limiting the amount of damage. Any fighting here will include large ground elements and will quickly get ugly.
Worst case scenario: Coordinated uprising in the West bank drawing off IDF forces, while Hamas, Hezbullah and Syria coordinate attacks.
Iran, Israels long term fear, short term, it has IRBM missles that can potentially be intercepted by the Arrow ABM. These missles can possibly contain a bio/chem warhead, nuclear in quite a few years. Mostly, Iran serves as a funding and training center for the above problem makers.
Ugly enough? I'll leave it to the reader to extrapolate how ugly this is.
