The Phantom is a lot of things but graceful is definitely not among them. This is the bird they used to call the 'Rhino' for Valen's sake.
What Phantom DOES have is personality. And, of course, (by contemporary standards) overwhelming firepower (hence the nickname).
As for buying Rafale vs Typhoon, I'm slightly inclined to say Typhoon. Looks rarely win wars and barring something being majorly wrong with the bird it IS superior other than the radar. Assuming the cost is moderately reasonable of course.
