A short stocky man wearing silvered mail approached them. He wore his blonde hair and beard short and neat and a carried a heavy hammer slung over his back. "You seem to have met with some difficulties. Let me see what I can do."

Gaheris nodded grimly. "Poison," he said, jerking his head towards Torma. "Thank you, Brother... I don't believe I know your name. New in the Abbey?" He casually stepped away from Torma, off to the side to let the mailed man approach.

Torma remained on the floor, as flattened as she can get. Her eyes moved towards the voice of the speaker. "Just... stop... walking... so... loud."
It was the only way she could explain it, as the poison threw off not just her sense of balance but also the ability that some called blindsight and others tremorsense. The gentle vibrations that told her where someone was around her were now amplified painfully, and lying down was making it worse. Standing up, however, was something she wasn't sure she was up to. "Poisoned blades... why did they have to have poisoned blades?" she whined piteously, her eyes closing in the vain hopes of some relief.

"Yes," the priest replied. "I'm Dulchas. I've spent the last two years near Hillsfar." He walked over to Torma. "There there. I think I can give you some relief." He started praying softly.

"Good to meet you, Dulchas. I am Lord Gaheris Trollbane of the Vara'Dome. The dragon is Tormantineth, and these are Astinius and Malkamar," he said, nodding to each in turn, relaxing a little as he spoke. "Hillsfar, was it? Must be difficult up there," he said with a half-smile. "I know Jens Galt was having all kinds of trouble with his shrine in Melvaunt last time I heard from him, and working in Maalthiir's shadow can't be much better. So, when did you arrive?"

"The Zhents are worse," Dulchas said. "Their cell leaders in that area are too smart by half while Maalthiir's boys are often drunk on power and blinded by arrogance. Although once they get their act together they are three kinds of hell."

((HP:82 of 124 2/3rds healed))
Torma sighed deeply, her torso rising and falling heavily with the relief she felt as the poison was purged from her system and the wounds in her sides healed a little bit more. The deepest ones still remained, half-healed and still painful.
But she really wished they wouldn't give out her full name that casually. Why not just call her Torma? "Thank you..." she gratefully said to Dulchas, carefully lifting her head to get a better look at him.

"We're an odd little group." Malkamar drawled. "Another Tyrran, I'm assuming. Wasn't expecting any reinforcements."

Torma had to chuckle a little at that. "Normally, you're dealing with the Chromatics, I'm sure...." Slowly, she rose to her feet, once again using her wings to give an extra bit of steadiness until she was able to sit up straight and face Dulcas as polite company. "I'll remember your kindness."
That was no simple comment, from a dragon.

He nodded in acknowledgment of Torma's gratitude. "Yes, that's right. Another Tyrran. And you are-"

"This is Malkamar, a relic of the Netherese Empire," Torma o-so-helpfully introduced her friend as. "He was dragged kicking and screaming back into the world quite seperately from those now claiming the Netherese title."

"Thank you, m'lady." Malkamar sighed. "You make me sound like a bit of museum junk collecting dust. But yes. I am Malkamar of the city of Thultanthar, which you would know of as Shade. I am at your service, good Tyrran."

Gaheris had given a name, so Torma used it. "NightMasks, we think... although why they would attack a party with a Dragon is a mystery..." She tilted her head, as if a thought occurred to her. "Then again, I understand dragon-parts are worth a great deal of money to some people..."

"It would be greatly appreciated." Malkamar looked releived, and smiled. "Please. I got torn up pretty badly in that fight, and, well.. There's always a certain level of resistance among most priests to help me. Probably because those like me tried to destroy most of civilization not too long ago. It leaves an impression."

"I as well, though I think I was the least hurt," said Gaheris. "What brings you to Westgate, anyhow?"

Healing prayers treated the worst of Gaheris's wounds [23hp]. "Zhents. Or they could have been just Banites. Hard to tell the difference these days. They carved me and mine up. Came south looking to still fight the good fight."

"And a good fight you have found my friend" the mage said, speaking up. he was mostly healed by now, a few small cuts all that remained. He would prepare better next time.

"That's the assumption. Coordinated assault with poison blades." Malkamar nodded simply. "The plan was not to get caught by such until we had had some dinner, and to get a captive."

Gaheris looked up in concern. "Zhents this far south? A little out of their operating area, isn't it? I thought they were concerned with dominating Northern trade."

"And the Zhents were up North, but one doesn't linger in hostile territory with dead companions," Dulchas said. "We took them south for an honourable burial and I then went looking for another place to do some good. I ended up here."
