Indeed. It is a fairly steep cost for a perfect, with the WP.

I think everyone in the know agrees that Blazing Solar Bolt is very underpowered compared to ELP. Making it a "perfect" attack is certainly a possibility, considering that the archery perfect shot is 1m and 1 wp. In the interest of full disclosure, since my character is a melee monkey I will end up picking this charm up eventually so it is in my best interest for it to be stronger than it is now although I have a lot of other expenditures in mind before I even consider snagging this up.

Yeah, it'll be a looooong time before Kolth worries about Melee charms. There are so many charms that I'm considering on the Necessary list that I haven't even gotten to the This Would Be Awesome list yet.

Awesome. It does seem amusing in retrospect for the Night caste to be bringing up the ethics discussion, but it works well.

Actually, I think it fits well with the Night class

Personally, I did too - but in the first edition book, their Night caste example was a right bitch. That's actually where I got the idea for his First Age self.

But who would know ethics and morality better than one who is expected to break them?

Just a little comment to Ake: ancestor worship is very common in Creation, and clearly the targeted villages were closer to the exception rather than the norm. While it is within the reach of Celestial Exalts to change the world around them, that level of change is a bit much to enact in a timescale below multiple-decades, especially in the Scavenger lands, where even the reborn Solars are merely powerful entities among many others. There's a reason the Realm gave up on invading this place, you know

The job could be made easier with the Socialize Charm I didn't take, but it would still take a while just to visit all of those places, since they're so far spread out.

Hey, I'm shooting for the long run. The trick is not to go for everything at once, it is to isolate and control the enemy in one place and then expand outward from there. Find a place where the ancestor worship is already a bit shaky and their neighbours aren't that devote and focus efforts to destabilize the economy and break the faith there. Then expand outward. The more people you can convince not to trade with ancestor worshippers, the harder it will be for the remainder, especially if you have guaranteed trade lines for the converts so no one can retaliate in kind.

Besides, who said Ake is afraid of decades worth of work?

Since I will soon get Scroll of the Fallen Races, my Christmas present, and I wondered if some of you would be interested in making a "resurrection of Rathess" campaign, and help the Sun-worshipping Dragon Kings' civilization's return to glory in this Age of Sorrows... With the East sourcebook and this new book, I think I can pull it off. I just have to find a way to introduce that (perhaps make an intermediary campaignette in the meantime), though be warned that you will have to face a powerful devourer god and his high-powered Solar pet before even tackling the effort of bringing back sentience into hordes of mindless Stalkers and rebuilding the ruins of one of the jewels of the First Age... but you will gain an army of elemental-bending humanoid dinosaurs!

Oh yes. Oh HELL yes. I put both hands up - having a loyal and friendly nation of Dragon Kings grateful to us for our noble (mostly) deeds would be AWESOME.

I'm going to admit, having an army of magical dinosaurs on our side would help our plans rather much. Obviously the trick is getting us to the point where we even know about the Dragon Kings and how we could help them. Once there though, Ake would be glad to help.

I am more interested in quantifying if those rumors about Kireeki-class ships docked in Rathess can be substantiated. :P

Ooh, had forgotten about these ones... Well, as I said, you will have to find and conquer Rathess before this becomes an issue

Tell me whenever you want to move on. Or you can just keep up the good work. That's excellent character interaction here (one of the advantages of PbP).

Personally, and I speak for no one but me, but before we go a-conquering, I'm hoping to do a short peice on Orduin coping with being the odd man in Lookshy's military and how he interacts with it.

That's fine with me - I just pulled my bit of character development, so by all means, go for it.

We are still pretty far from going a-conquering anyone at the moment. most of us don't even have combos spent yet.

I'm saving mine until I get the proper next Charm. After that, it'll still be mostly Charms and not Combos, not until later.
