#1 Music from the Succubus Club

So my Boyfriend found this and showed it to me, and i just had to share it with you all. To quote Wikipedia on the subject:

"Music from the Succubus Club is a music CD released as an accompaniment to the White Wolf, Inc. roleplaying game Vampire: The Masquerade. Its name is derived from the "Succubus Club", a fictional location (and popular nightclub) in the World of Darkness. [...] A fictional quote, included in the compilations cover notes, and attributed to the fictional DJ Damascus (a DJ from The Succubus Club) states that "I've noticed that each of these songs seems to strike a chord with a particular clan." In this sense, therefore, each track featured on the compilation may be linked to one of the fictional clans within the roleplaying world of Vampire: The Masquerade."

You all should listen to it, it's good. If you scroll down to the comments, i put in shortcuts to every song on the album if you want to listen to any in specific. Personal favourites of mine are Deception, Prey, Heart of Darkness, and Blind in the Dark, which doesn't have much correlation to my favourite clans, but that's not important because all the songs are pretty great.

Heh. It's funny, that was pretty hyped when it was released and now it's like somewhat obscure WW history.

Now I feel slightly old, yet still eternally cherubic.

Major props for Heart of Darkness, that's still in my playlist rotation in the "Shit I like to listen to over and over" directory.

I've still got my copy floating around somewhere. Hemoglobin and Deception are still my top two pics on the album.

Fun fact, the Succubus Club was supposedly founded by Oscar Wilde in San Francisco. One of the very first things my players did in the game I run was accompany Emperor Norton on a revenge mission against Wilde, in the course of which they burned it down with gasoline.

The Succubus Club was founded by the ancient ghoul Prias over the heaven containing the Methuselah Helena's torpid body in Chicago. It opened for business in 1982, becoming the city's foremost Elysium for a decade before it was destroyed by Lupines during the 1993 War of Chicago. While Prias died in the assault, Helena survived and had the club rebuilt while masquerading as the neonate Portia (that's her in album cover). She now effectively controls the whole domain of Chicago from there. Oscar Wilde's place in San Francisco was called the Vampire Club.

My apologies. I got confused as to which sinful decadent vampire-hedonism club was which.
