#1 Web Hosts

Post by B4UTRUST »

Alright, I know some of the people on this site have hosted and have had their sites hosted before on a professional level so we're looking for a good solid host to possibly transfer to if our current problems with Siteground is not resolved.

What we're looking for is someone who is reliable while flexible and inexpensive. I know, things that don't always work. But here's what we need at a minimum so you can get a good idea of what we need.

At least 1 GB of space. We currently use about 586 of ours, but a lot of that is random uploads for people via our ftp.

At least 10gb of bandwidth though I would love at least 20+. We currently use on average about 2.5-3.5 GB of bandwidth a month with our highest month being December of last year at a little over 5GB of bandwidth used. I want room to grow and not have to worry about bandwidth overages.

A minimum of at least 5 mySQL databases though 10+ would be better. We currently use four of ours, one for our blogs, one for our board, one for our front page, and one for general testing. Again, room to expand.

That's about the long and short of what we need. 24/7 tech support and tech support we can reach by phone is always a plus.

So yeah, give me some ideas. I've looked at Lunarpages, Hostnexus and United Web Hosting.

I talked to DS about this host as well.

It's who I use for my own personal sites and for those that I create for others be it personal or professional. I have never had any trouble with them nor any downtime in the last year of being with them.

We're with a new host now so it's over and done with. But thanks for the suggestion anyway.
