Time to dig your way out of the ground (you Minecrafters) and strap on your Pip-Boy!
I'm surprised no one's started a thread yet, as New Vegas has once again proved why FallOut is such a great game series. The main quest is strong, the side-quests thrilling and rewarding, and the humor is the same tongue-in-cheek post-Apocalypstic 50s camp we all love.
So, if you're playing it, sing out brothers.

Between Minecraft and The Force Unleashed II (How'd I get that game this early you ask? Well, don't ask), I haven't had a chance to fiddle with Fall Out yet....
I may give it a whirl before I leave for work though...

After Nitram finished his first run-through, I have determined that Barter, Speech, Science, and Repair should be your Tagged abilities. There's just too many times you need the four of them.
Of course, Firearms, Lockpicking, and Explosives are also needed.

God, I wish explosive entry was standard. 'Hmmm. I can't open this door.'

Bought it yesterday, played the very very beginning part as well. This is my first Fallout game. So we'll see what happens to me.
BTW, I did turn on "funky and weird shit goes down" ability.

A gauss rifle is a sick, wonderful thing. Boone with a second gauss rifle is simply unspeakable.

So I was playing all of yesterday. Pretty fun game. My current weapon of choice when I need to doll out death in a serious way is the Incinerator. Which is sort of like a flame thrower, only instead of a jet of flame it fires a loogie of burning death. Wiped out a wave of feral ghouls that I spooked up with that thing, and it's what I used to dispatch 7 legionnaires.
Definitely need more skill points. My repair, lockpicking, and explosives need some work. It's nice having a companion around though, even if it's a floating robot. I can store even more things now, though he does occasionally pick fights with wandering animal life.
So I'm on my way to becoming badass one day, still looking for the man that shot me, and have just made "friends" (and by friends I mean they are sending assassins after me) with the Legion.
Lockpicking is pissing me off a bit though. "What do you mean I don't have a high enough skill to try unlocking this thin wooden door? I have a motherfucking chainsword assholes! And if that didn't work I have several explosive devices. The town is dead and burned, no one will care if this door is missing." That was definitely something that KotOR II got right when they instituted "I have a lightsaber, I can open any door I want."
