Should it be Dark Heresy 2nd, with hive world hijinks?
Should it be Old Republic era Star Wars fun and games?
Or should it be Game of Thrones, Tevinter edition?

I'm leaning towards Dark Heresy honestly. Tevinter sounds interesting though.

My desires in this instance would be Star Wars, followed by Dark Heresy and then Dragon Age.
For Star Wars, I am already trying to decide between a Smuggler, a Spy, and a Sentinel.
For Dark Heresy, I think a Rogue Trader Seeker would be in order. After all, the Karakan Dynasty fully supports the Inquisition, and the Extraordinarii intend to live up to their title.
For Dragon Age: A Song of Fire and Ice, I would have to put my foot down and insist on playing a Mage. Not a Magister, mind you, I mean, everyone from the South thinks that anyone who is a mage in Tevinter is a Magister, the term loses all meaning.

Goddamn, make me choose between my children why don't you?
My choices are probably Star Wars, Dragon Age, and Dark Heresy in that order, but it's a close-run thing between them.

Of those options, I'd...hrm. Subject to character inspiration limitation as per my usual, but...probably a close tie between Dark Heresy and (another!) Star Wars game, with Dragon Age trailing by a reasonable margin.

I would be down for Dark Heresy. I'd put Tevinter shenanigans next and another Star Wars game at #3.
Of course, GMing being the work it is, the GM should GM what the GM wants to GM.

In order of preference: Star Wars, Rogue Trader (fuck you all, my Eye of Sauron never got much use), and Dragon Age.
For Star Wars, though the Fantasy Flight system makes rules very easy, the philosophical parts will take me more time. I want to see if my ex-Dark Sider idea would work with some more massaging.
For Rogue Trader... Yeah, I just miss my Navigator.
For Dragon Age, I want a chance to play the ex-Templar Grey Warden concept I talked about with Hotfoot & CynCat before this. To be honest, I don't think Tevinter stuff would be my first choice.

Rogue Trader isn't on the list. I was pretty disappointed that aside from Havoc and Cameron and ocassionally frigid that no one seemed to get into "I'm a hugely powerful noble in a leadership position with vast resources and in a life or death struggle with various enemies" and initiated projects on their own, falling into "if it's good with the Lord-Captain I'm fine with it" leaving Hotfoot in the position of generated most of the schemes and projects while not trying to stiffle anyone.
I'm not doing that again. Until I see the night sky burn with the ambitious schemes of the great and powerful, we aren't going back to Rogue Trader.

So what you're really saying is that until Lys decides to play, we're not playing Rogue Trader.
Lys is lily, or lilium.

No, because I want other people to act instead of chilling, but it would be a step in the right direction.Lys wrote:So what you're really saying is that until Lys decides to play, we're not playing Rogue Trader.

It's a fair criticism - I tend to be a reactive player more often than an active one. Of my two remaining choices, I think I'd be far more apt to be proactive with my Star Wars character concept than with the ex-Templar.

The Dragon Age game wouldn't be the one where you were planning to play the ex-Templar, it's a completely different setting. Note the GM.

I know, I'm just still attached to the concept. If it won't work, it won't work - but I'll still see if it's possible.Hotfoot wrote:The Dragon Age game wouldn't be the one where you were planning to play the ex-Templar, it's a completely different setting. Note the GM.

If you do, I'll likely ask that you make a different character if and when my Dragon Age game starts up again.
