On the consoles I've always been partial to Secret of Mana and its sequals. Legend of Mana has one of the most indepth forging systems I've seen and it was amazing what you could build with it. Seiken Densetsu 3 was a good game, too. Had a lot of story in packed into it. Damn good graphics for an SNES title.

But, uh, Chrono Trigger is probably still my favorite. It was just fun to play. Still is.

Yeager Air Combat and LHX Attack Helicopter for me here. Also Warcraft II. Played Age of Empires a bit, but that one got old real fast (build peasants, start mining/farming/logging/fishing, build soldiers, keep mining/logging/fishing/whatever, blahblahblahablahblah, you get the idea). That's about it I guess...

AH, yes, Duck Hunt. My favorite oldie. Maybe I loved it because I was so good at it. Heh.

Uhh...Off the top of my head, aside from the afore mentioned Duck Hunt, there's:

1. Trickstyle - A must play for those who enjoy racing games as much as I do. I believe it's a '98 or '96 game. I can't recall.

2. Tomb Raider classics - You know - TR1, TR2, TR3, and I think even 4 and 5. I'm a fan of the series, always have been, always will. Great story, a great woman totally kickin' ass, and nice guns (MP5 = the awosme). Played it since I was somewhere around 7 to 9. AoD sucked, as a side note.

3. Dead or Alive - Original, anyone? Even I, as a female, adore this game. Who doesn't like plain martial-arts combat for no real reason other than to see people kicking ass?

4. Mario - Classic. Can't forget it. Ever.

5. Syberia I and II - A very nice game. Not the best ever, but very good, and has the occasional good puzzle. 2000, or 2002. Not sure.

6. Space Invaders - I love this game. ADDICTING.

Meh. That's all off the top of my head.

1978, if I remember correctly. It's certainly older than me.

Oh great. Another toddler. Just when KAN had me thinking that maybe I'm not the only old fart around here.
I happen to know for a fact that you aren't, Master Bruce. And so do you.
Yeah, but it's fun to complain.

Well, that certainly doesn't apply to me. When you're four months away from being legally able to do whatever-the-fuck you want, you're certainly not a toddler.

I started playing Space Invaders when I was 4/5. And it had only been out a few years.

No Bruce, you are not that old.

Ma'am, I was thirtyish or so when I made my first appearance in 1939.
Yes I AM that old. I appreciate the sentiment, though.
And even if I were a real person I'd have been 7 by the time Space Invaders came out (assuming 1978 is corrdct). So I'd still be that old.

I'm pretty young, so toddler may be right - depending on YOUR age. To someone around the age of Dan, I'd be pretty much around the same age, a bit younger. To someone more aged, I'd prolly be a toddler. Comparing. I don't mind the toddler comment. It's my height that bothers me :???: (5'4 and a half...I wanna be 5'8!)

ANYWAY.

I also believe Pacman was also a pretty popular game, and still is! I must say, it's almost as addicting as Space Invaders. Almost.
There's also...Tetris, but I bet that's been mentioned. And I think this one game called Worm or something, where you collect those little beads without touching the sides, and it keeps adding on. Heh. I hated that game. I sucked badly.

Rally Cross.

Damn, I can't remember the name of the game but you were kidnapped by aliens, they took your dog, and you were put in a maze and forced to fight your way out, die and they turn all the people on earth into Jelly. It was for the computer.

Total Annihilation.

The first Monster Rancher.

Mortal Kombat.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Time.

Final Fantasy VII.

Final Fantasy Tactics.

This list will be added to as I think of more.

Urgh, this thread does make me feel old.

Baldur's Gate is middle-aged at best. Now Secrets of the Savage Frontier, -that's- old.

And being old enough to remember my very first game of Pac-Man back when the game first came out...

Urgh...

Now Yar's Revenge for the old Atari, I loved that game.

That was the second memorable game I ever played. (Albeit not the advanced version pictured here)

And this was the first:

Just wonder: what kind of magic is your favorite? I always love Chaos Magic.

And do you prefer to go straight for the Spell of Mastery, or total conquest of the two realms?
