"If they stopped torturing the group we just sent them long enough..." Li Na snorted. She had no illusions about what the demons were doing to the failed black ops team.

"Torture?" Tholos chuckled. "You can't even imagine the atrocities that will be visited upon those wretched souls."

"I've seen them, so sadly, I can imagine them." Mike shuddered a bit between bites. For one so small, he ate alot. "But yea. Unless Hell has a serious interest in this, I don't think they'll know much. This sounds alot to me like some demonologists summoning up recruits, not something the dukes and princes of the underworld are keeping a personal eye on."

"If we're lucky, yes." Li Na added. The way Mirage Team's luck seemed to go, it wasn't looking that promising. Gazing out the windows of the breakfast nook, she sighed at the sight of the sun lowering over the ocean. It was one of the reasons she'd bought this place, the view of the sun setting over San Francisco.

"Since Marcus, Elias, and I cooked, who's cleaning up?" Li Na asked, setting her empty plate down. She had a favorite ritual for her first day 'home', watching the sun set from poolside.

"What's that? Time consuming mindless repetitive task needs to be done? Gosh, wonder who could do that." He looked around the room with a bemused look on his face. "Oh hey, don't everyone offer all at once. I might think someone was concerned for my health, what with my life-threatening injury and all that."

Before anyone could reasonably respond, the blur lit up the kitchen, all of the dishes disappearing into the maelstrom of motion. Within a handful of seconds, the dishes were stacked neatly next to the sink, a faint trail of steam rising from them. "I wouldn't touch them for a few minutes. We can put them away later. So then, what now? More talking about dead guys that want to kill us?"

Well... so much for distracting the guys as she went to put on her bikini... "Thanks Collin... I didn't know you'd get it finished that fast," Li Na said with surprising calmness. "You guys talk, I'll be back in a bit."

With that she excused herself and walked across the family room to the door leading to the Master Suite, shutting it firmly (hopefully before Collin tried to slip in). Let the men talk, she was out of ideas.

"Well, is RCE publically traded?" Mike said after a few minutes. "I'm sure a shareholder could find where they are, if they've moved."

Li Na was not as fast as Hotfoot, although shadow-form allowed her to slip out of the jeans and shirt nearly instantly. She opened her drawer and pulled out the swimsuit she normally wore... and hesitated.

no... you want to wear the OTHER one. Make their eyes pop. You know you want to, so do it.
Li Na would almost swear it was Ember's voice ... but yeah, she did want to wear it. She did want to see Blackheart's eyes pop out, and see the look on Elias' face when she came walking out in it.

Thus, she put away the one-piece, and pulled out the bikini. Yes. This was much more like it. She absently grabbed a beach towel and walked ... no... strolled out of the side door onto the patio, with a confidence of a woman who knew she not only dressed to kill, but for mass murder.

And yes, she walked in front of the windows of the breakfast nook before strolling over to the pool and laying down her towel, just to make sure the team got a very good look at her coming and going. If you're going for mass murder, make sure the victims see you coming.

"If they're doing black work, it will be buried beyond the reach of any shareholders who aren't senior corporate officers," said Blackheart. "Shell companies, sub corporations, the whole deal. Still it is worth a look. Might lead us to a clue that will point . . . the . . . way." His voice trailed off as he saw Li walk passed. "Damn, that woman looks good."

"Mmm." Mike cast a glance out the window, and sighed. "If I were a half-century younger..." A frown. "I'd still be rebuffed as twice her age." A shake of his head. "Well, I'll let you all drool while I think."

There was something just -amazingly- sexy about having the full attention of (nearly) every man in the house. Legacies, of course, wasn't paying attention to the silly mating games.

But it was thrilling to feel Blackheart was more than a little stunned and aroused, and even the Demonheart seemed silenced. Course, it was tired from the regeneration.

She had to hope Hotfoot wouldn't hit MachOne running for his swimtrunks, but she just couldn't resist turning to the men gathered at the window with a teasing smile and blowing them all a kiss before sashaying to the small diving board.

Ok Ember, you were right. Bikinis are weapons of mass disruption. Thank you, my friend, for convincing me to buy it last year.

The table was set and he wasted little time in making his way towards the gathered congregation. He did not move so much as he glided towards the table, the impressive array of food met with a blink at first although a bit of mental math all but assured that little if any of it would go to waste. He remembered what had transpired in that pizzeria not too long ago. His eyes flickered over the various members of Team Mirage as he maneuvered his way towards an empty chair. It was not as close to Li Na as he would have personally liked, but it did the trick just fine. He even made it a point not to stare at her as he began reaching for various bits of food. He singled out the salad in particular although his eyes lingered on the spaghetti. He could hardly believe that Leg…Marcus could cook.

He ate quietly, the epitome of grace and proper protocol; His attention focusing on Marcus as he spoke. He allowed himself the time to swallow the man’s spaghetti, it was far better than he expected. There was something oddly disturbing about that.

By this time, Li Na had already dove into the pool with a quiet splash and started swimming the water as easily as her dragon-form swam Between. After a couple of laps, she half-pulled herself out of the water on the far side of the pool, quietly watching the sun as it lowered itself into the ocean.

It was more than a little distracting, feeling the assorted surges of arousal from the men. Might be why her smile was so huge at the moment. She was surprised that Hotfoot hadn't joined her just yet.

She pulled herself completely out of the pool and looked back at the breakfast nook to see who was still there staring at her, the wide grin still in place as she smoothed the water out of her long black hair, sillouetted by the setting sun. Wonder who joins me first... Elias or David.

Legacies had smiled and thanked Elias for his compliment on his cooking. Even going so far as to explain it. "Live out on our own most of the time, when we weren't on the streets we had an apartment, and we had to learn how to cook."

When Hotfoot displayed his speed again, Legacies was impressed. Even with the dagger, he wasn't anywhere near that fast. Legacies had slid his feet out and relaxed in his chair as the others talked about RCE. He already knew his intentions of what he was going to do once he got there.

When Argent came back out in her swimsuit, almost every man turned and gawked. Their train of thought being lost to the will of libido. Legacies was different, he laughed. A full-throated, rather loud, laugh. It wasn't so much at the men as it was at the way everything looked right now. The laugh was even louder as Elias made his retreat, again not at the man himself but at the set of circumstances.

Legacies got to his feet, sliding the door open and stepping out onto the pool deck as the sun began to set. The older, scarred, almost bald, and in no real way attractive man stepped up beside the sunbathing goddess of beauty. His silver outfit changing again to a hawaiian shirt and shorts.

"You certainly have a way with the men. And they don't seem to mind either." Legacies looked down at her and smiled a little at her, then back at the sun. "Beautiful view though. Nothing at all like in the crowded cities, almost forgot what it looks like."

Li Na had known that Legacies was amused, but to have him step outside and actually grin at her and tease her? Yeah... maybe SanFran was a good idea.

"The view was one of the things that sold me on the house," Li Na answered, turning sideways to once again view the setting sun far in the distance. It also kept her from going blind at the wild hawaiian pattern Legacies had morphed into. "I simply love coming out here and watching the sun set as I take a swim. Of course, I normally don't have the audience," she chuckled.

"I can tell the team's shocked, feels like even the Demonheart was stunned," she said with no small amount of pleasure at the power over men's libidos. But there was one she couldn't monitor. "What happened with Elias?"

Not really knowing what the others were talking about, Tholos finished off his third plate and just sort of half listened while he watched the sun slowly set and the clouds turn into a myriad of soft hues. "Makes me feel like I'm back home." he said to himself, a feeeling of nostalgia coming over him. He missed the smell of fresh mountain air, being able to travel freely through his lands, the wind on his face. Hearing everyone go silent brought him, although quite reluctantly, back to the present. Looking to see what had gotten everyone's attention, he felt the compelling urge to stand and bow to what must have been a goddess, Li Na dressed in some kind of undergarment. Turning slightly to Tasat he spoke in greek "I knew she was pretty, but just not how much." Looking at her as she went, Tholos felt a stir in places that he hadn't felt in over 3000 years. Not wanting to embarass himself, he firmly locked it down and killed it, using his many years of self discipline. "Why couldn't we have had women like that back in our time?" he muttered to Tasat. Standing up, he went outside shortly after Marcus did and took a seat in one of the chairs by the pool, his attention not only on Li Na, but also on the sunset once more.

Legacies didn't turn from looking at the slowly setting sun. "He awkwardly excused himself from our presence and made his way up to his room." Legacies left any opinion he had on it out of his recitation of events.

The 'hawaiian shirt' seemed to take an interest in Tasat's appearance outside. The shirt twisting in a way that was impossible. After a second the shirt returned to it's normal position.

"So... do you think he went up there to change, or just to hide?" Li Na chuckled to Marcus, before noting that Tholos was coming out onto the patio and taking a seat to watch the sunset.

Of course, he was looking at her as well. two down, six more to get out here oogling she thought with a grin as she slid back down into the slightly warm water. Turning, she crossed her arms on the lip of the pool, pillowing her head as she watched the sun met its reflection on the surface of the ocean. "Watch close, Marcus... now the magic happens," she sighed.

Blast lost his train of thought, such as it was, when Argent came strolling out of the house wearing that.

"Dammmmnnn." He said unaware he was speaking. He shook his head trying to clear it. What was he thinking... Beer? Yeah sure beer, he could use a drink anyways.

"I mean, I'll have a beer yeah." He said tucking back into the food.

"Huh... Yeah. Yeah it is..." Blast said. He fidgeted in his seat for a second or two, he had to ask something and it wasn't gonna go over well he thought.

"Huh... Boss, I gotta call home soon, see my mom doesn't know I'm doing this and I ain't planning on telling her but if she doesn't hear from me, she could end up calling the cops or something... Plus I kinda don't want her to freak out or anything..." He muttered. Man, some super secret agent, having to call his mother to avoid being slapped on a milk carton.

"Thanks, sorry about the trouble. Just Dad died long time ago so she doesn't have much anyone else. Means she worries." He said biting into another piece of steak to cover his embaressment.
