MARCON 43

Marcon 43 is nearly upon us: May 23-25th (US Memorial Day Weekend) It is being held at the Hyatt Regency and Conference Center, in lovely downtown Columbus OH.

So far the LibArc contingent is me, Nitram, Whitehaven, and Devonie, with Hotfoot and Marcao as "very likely to show". Devonie's already reserved a suite at the Drury Inn, next door to the Conference Center. This is a suite, so there's room for 6 people to bed down in it. So far, there's only 4.

Last Marcon, the LibArc folks walked down to see a Midnight Movie showing of "Pirates of the Carribean" part 3. This year, "Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull" will be just out, and Nitram and I are hoping to get everyone to go (and yes, Devonie, we'll make sure you're awake to go with us this time). The theatre itself is impressive, and serves beer and liquor to add to your entertainment.

*mrf* Well, folks, Whitehaven's car upchucked it's transmission, so he's not going to make it. This means that there will likely be no updates or pictures uploaded during the con, because my laptop is on the fritz. Since I have a few hours, I may try to fix it tonite (yes, I'm one of those crazy broads who is not above taking apart her own damn laptop, rather than paying a tech to tell me it can't be fixed just so he can sell me a new one).
